Bristol City 2 - 0 Leicester

Pitman 57, Clarkson 90+2

Same old story. Loads of chances but none of them converted despite having 4 strikers on the field.

Any insights into the performance ? I didnt go nor did I listen to it. Who was at fault for the goals ?

From the commentary it was hard to say for the first one but Weale at fault for the second.

dpjfox. He must never be allowed to start a prematch thread ever again.

Back down to 17th. 4 points above the relegations places; 5 points + goal difference away from the play-offs.

Missing the penalty sounded pivotal. I lost £150 on a City, QPR, Forest, Millwall multiple as a result..

ESPN stats tell the story. We can't finish our chances.

Big mistake to take Howard off. No where to put the ball once he went off. Wag and Fryatt both seemed poor but they didn't get much service either.

Ended the game with no goal scoring threat. No king, Howard or Vassell, although Dyer looked ok.

Good atmosphere from the fans, same old story.from the players.

Five points off the play offs is not the end of the world. If we'd taken our chances two points away would have been a lot better.

There are a lot of games to play but we can't lose games like this if we hope to match our aspirations.

Sometimes we're going to lose. It's only a bigger deal because we lost too many games early in the season.

Kirkland plus a striker this week is necessary. I've never rated Weale and will be more confident with him out of the team. We need a striker with pace and power to come in and take on some responsibility. I'd then let Fryatt go.

I understand why we're playing Vassell but he's clearly well short of match fitness and a bit of a passenger. Can we afford to leave Dyer out for him? He's going to have to come good and be very effective to make this period playing him back to fitness worthwhile.

What hurts the most is the amount of times we have dominated games..had loads of chances and still lost.

Same old Leicester just cannot score,as much as Steve Howard has played well this season he is not the answer..we need somebody who is going to run at defences, cause havoc at set-pieces and generally scare defences.

And until that day comes then nothing will change.

Very disappointed after recent results, this is the sort of games you need to win if we are going to be up there. Lets hope overall momentum isn't lost. F*re*t won away today so next game won't be easy. We need to sort a new forward now pretty quickly, one from Roberts, Miller or Bednar?

Howard was pretty good today bar his penalty miss. Some of his passing and flick on headers brilliant. He had the measure of both centre-backs for Bristol.

Highly annoying but its typical of how season is going to be...mid-table. Two **** up's cost us the game. Difficult to criticise us really. One of the most one-sided first halves I've seen in ages.

Went to the game and sat in the main stand as my dad is a massive Brizzle fan..interesting to watch from such a neutral place.

Leicester were by far the better side today, Abe was outstanding and we dominated the game throughout really but had no end product to speak of unfortunately. But it will come.

Definitely need a centre forward, possibly should have played Vaseline closer to Howard for the first half when we were literally all over them. Having said that, if Howard had converted the penalty then the plan would have worked well I think.

We pummelled BriZzle, local fans were saying we were by far the best side they had seen there this season. But for all the good play there was little end product.... This is the issue Sven and Del need to work out. Ishmael Miller would have scored a hatful today I reckon...

I thought it was a quality assist from Weale.....

Typical of us over recent seasons, dominate the game and then end up rueing the chances we've missed.
My Brizzle mate was quite pleased they'd stolen points they didn't deserve.

I told him to piss off and stop texting me after the game!!

Who was at fault for the goals ?

Weale at fault for the second.

Threw it out straight to a Brizzle player who was almost on the touchline and he hoofed what surely must have been a speculative shot back towards goal and it ended up looping over Weales head and into the net.

Looked spectacular (albeit jammy) and got a fair few fair-minded City fans applauding it too,

OMG! for the first time I just don't care

:icon_cry:

where's me club? why don't we punch above our weight in a stadium with history any more?
