Well it finally happened after nearly two years living in Mowmacre Hill.

The scrotes have nicked my Wii and Dell laptop.

Luckily they left our expensive watches and other items of value.

****ing ****s.

Sorry to hear that drew. I hope they find the bastards and stick hot metal rods up their nostrels.

Bad news drew, sorry to hear that, hope you're insured. :icon_sad:

They most likely won't find them & even if they do their punishment won't come anywhere close to that.

bastards.
Don't forget they also had your 52 inch plasma away as well...

Well it finally happened

Really sorry to hear that, Drew. I've never been burgled so I can't imagine what you must be feeling like at the moment - but I would think that the actual items are the last thing on your mind and the fury at being so unable to do anything about it is gnawing away at you.

Let's hope that your insurers treat you right.

Too true, someone will probably say they had trauma in Potty Training and give them a hours Community Service.
Sorry to hear about it anyway Drew

My mother-in-law was burgled a few years ago. They turned the house over, and even though it wasnt my property it left a truly sickening feeling. I could honestly murder anyone i caught in my house, and i'm not bothered about the consequences. The ****s know what they are doing and deserve the Tony Martin style of justice imo.

Sorry to hear it mate. I was burgled several years back when I was in London and it's not pleasant. i just hope they catch the little ****ers and string em up!

I he was disturbed as my neighbours son actually saw the guy!!

He was in their back garden, he told this lad that he was visiting his mate. Hes only seven but its definitely the guy he saw who did it.

I've lost about 2.5ks worth. Could have been a lot lot worse if they'd been upstairs, our watches are about 3ks worth!!!

I'm waiting for the window people to come now, they should have been here by now!!!

And those two Lowry's you had hanging in the study :-)

Sorry to hear it Drew. Sadly it's a sign of the times. I hope you get a good response from our Police Service but don't hold your breath waiting for the SOC officers.

The trouble is if they do catch anyone they'll get a £2 fine suspended for 4 minutes, despite their 762 previous convictions. Waste of time our justice system.

Remember most burglars will come back in the next six months. :icon_conf :icon_conf

Hopefully our new house will have been built by then!!

I'm going to get the lads at work to make me a frame that will bolt on the outside of the kitchen window.

Exactly what happened to me.

They took 4k's worth in the June and returned on Boxing Day, but luckily the security measures I'd taken prevented them from doing anything worse than breaking a window.

Sorry to hear you've had to go through this horrible experience, drew.

It's rough the first couple of times... we've been burgled 6 times and now it's mostly infuriating but not upsetting.

Except, 6 years ago we were done twice in a fortnight - by different people. The first was chavs after the car keys. The second time it was by a scumbag who specialised in doing leaded windows who made off with a statue originally owned by my great-grandfather. Perhaps the only thing I could get upset about losing - I'd always had it around as long as I could remember. Luckily, he got done and put away for 6 years, but the statue wasn't recovered.

A year ago Derbyshire police contacted me because they thought my statue had been put up for auction in Buxton. The ****er had got out and was trying to get some cash from his previous theiving. I was lucky enough to be able to ID it conclusively because of the grain on the marble base matching our photograph of it and because of that the ****er is now doing another 3. So Plod isn't entirely useless.

it is a horrible, horrible feeling. really feel for you Drew.

Our house got burgled on the 22rd December back in 1993.

My dad was in hospital at the time and we had been to visit him for a couple of hours.
When we got back we couldn't open the front door, I just thought my mum was being useless and putting the key in the wrong way.
I decided to look through the window and saw the back of someone jumping out of our rear window into the back garden, never been so scared in my life.
They stole thousands of pounds worth, the most sickening were my Grandads war medals.

Anyone have an idea how long i will have to wait to get the glass replaced?

My girlfriend noticed that the hob has been badly damaged as well where the brick landed and bounced, ****ers.
