If Barnes is out for the season I'd be tempted.

Under really needs to put in a performance on Wednesday now, he's literally the only creative option we have unless one of the kids step up.
 
OK.

So I’ve had a look at the fixture list. We should, at this stage be thinking strategically about setups.

We play 3 games in next 2 weeks: Burnley, Brighton, Blades.

Forget the FA Cup for now. I’d play the kids

We don’t have a premier league game between March 14 and April 3 and that game is Man City.

From there is a run of games we that will make or break us: West Ham Southampton, Palace and Newcastle. We have a week to prepare for each.

The run in is brutal. Don’t expect much out of the last 3 of Man U, Chelsea, Spurs. I view those as free hits.

All of which to say we should be doing our utmost to get positive results the next 2 weeks, and use the break and ManCity game to get some rest. April is absolutely crucial.

Minimum 5 wins from 12 needs to be the target:

Brighton, Blades, Palace, Southampton, West Brom. Positive results against Burnley, Newcastle and West Ham would see us home and hosed, I think.

I know we are all a bit shell shocked, but nothing above is particularly unrealistic

I just think people need a day or two to get used to the fact that we've gone from having the leagues most threatening and in form front 3, and looking at the last 16 of UEL - to having no Maddison and Barnes and a 1 legged Vardy. All in a week.
I cannot get excited about watching Iheanacho Under and Albrighton as our front 3 with no viable back up.
 
We're ****ed it's as simple as that.

The only team to have been in the top 4 all season more than likely won't be finishing in it.

At least we'll have the EL to get our teeth into next season, love a bit of European competition.
 
If we are in desperate straits injuries wise (which we now are) is there no way we can recall Dewsbury-Hall? Seems a bit rich to have no recourse whatsoever to recall a player regardless of how many of your 25 is out injured...

We tried to get Chalobah and that load of bobbins that's stinking out West Brom. Odd choices really....
 
It’s a 90 minute football match every 3 days.

Try watching the tennis someday.

The way we played today, it’s like we had just played a couple of hours before, not 3 days.
