what planet are half you lot on, city's problem has been not scoring goals we are creating chances but not finishing teams off! This is just the sort of player we need, someone with a point to prove who is aggressive and has got genuine pace!
It was just the same when Oneil singed collymore, only that tosser taylor cocked things up when he took over the helm, this good sound business by RK
I really think this signing will put the cat amongst the pigeons!:038: :038: :038:
Why are people talking about a front man holding the ball up? that is not way city should be attempting to play! especially with someone like williams in the middle of the park, who has the creative ability and vision to pick out quality strikers! Fuc##ng good signing.

well i would say "owt fer nowt" we are not exactly flushed with dollar so would give him a chance and take it from there. after all i have been waiting for williams to come good since the dawn of time;)

Beggers can't be choosers.

Nothing to get excited about @ 5ft 9 and 12 stone and hardly prolific maybe not what were shouting out for.

o for a Brian Deane or Marcus Bent but still hopefully better than Welsh whos now gone

Kellys says that DC requires games to get fit, how is this done when the only senior competative games are the first team

I'm neither excited or dissapointed about this signing ,it just sums up what we have become. We have to resort to scrapping around Job Club for players.Something needs to change and the Club desperately needs either a new owner of some serious financial backing. The signing of Cadamateri tells me what I already knew,we are slowly drifting up shitcreek and theres no paddle.

A club and a player currently on the way down. :icon_conf :icon_conf

Is it ? you think Cadamateri is as good a player as Collymore,as proven a Goalscorer ?

Sorry Buster but the above should go in a cracker.

Pace? What makes you think he still has any pace, the last time I saw him play, and we're talking two seasons ago, he didn't look like he had anything left in his 'tank' at all.

Aggressive? - did you ever see him play when Matty Elliot and Tags did a number on him - he looked like he would cry. He had a reputation of being a diver not a fighter.

Holding the ball up is one of our major weaknesses - look any successful top flight team and they'll have a player who is capable of keeping the ball until support arrives, Rooney for example. At the moment the ball pings so quickly from the front two it's pathetic and is one of the real reasons for our poor scoring record.

If and when we get any quality upfront we'll see if Williams is any good at picking people out, ever since he's been at Leicester he's just been the archetypal luxury player.

I hope I'm proved wrong but the Cadamateri is like something Adams would have have done rather than O'Neil.

Not in a position to comment, he has been out of the game for a while. I hope he does well for us.

I remember this same reaction when we signed Cottee, playing for some two bob team in Malaysia.

FFS give the lad a chance

:038: :038: Great post Ox Fox, couldn't put it better myself.
I hope Cadamateri proves us wrong but I have never rated him since he left Everton, he looked a great prospect when he was 17/18 but quickly fell by the wayside.

Sort of sums up the dire straits we are in, what makes anyone think that he will be capable of fullfilling the promise he showed at Everton 10 years ago when he has shown precious little sign of it since. More than willing to be proved wrong but I think he will be another disappointing signing.

It is a gamble nothing more, nothing less, hopefully it will pay off.

I am neither excited nor upset by this signing however comparisons with Collymore are nothing more than hysteria. This is a player who has fallen a long way short of the potential displayed when he first burst onto the scene around a decade ago. If he can get his head right and Kelly can get him playing to something like his best then he will be a decent addition.

However their is obviously something within his personality which has contributed to his under achievement, I really fail to see why anybody can hail him as a potential messiah. Best to judge at the end of the season based on performances in a city shirt.

Odds are - he will be here and gone very quickly.

We've seen it all before - early promise, flawed character, drops out of game ....still given our position, RK can't be criticised - he has to try to augment squad without any resources.

Yep I am on the fence for this one too. At least with oneill you could see him motivating the player and getting the best out of him. I can't see that with RK, but you never know!!! He can play on the right side of midfield as well. I sure he will do better than welsh and low at least. He has a proper contract to fight for!

I agree on the face of it this appears a good signing. a gamble but you get nowhere without taking risks.

Totally on the fence with this one....

Ditto, he gets three games and if he has added nothing to the team boot him back to smallville.
