I think 10 points, maybe even 9, would be enough. Hopefully we'll get 12 though.

I'm hopeful, but still think we're a long way off. 9 points from 4 games would probably be our best run of the season (not to mention we've already won our last two).

I think we'll be in the playoffs by Sunday.

I can see Brighton and Middlesbrough losing this weekend, but I think Cardiff should be able to manage a result of some kind away at Barnsley - they've been shocking lately.

If by some miracle all three lose, we beat Millwall and end up in the playoffs by the end of this week, the onus will then be on us to work our arses off to make sure we stay in there. I think it's easier to be the team trying to stay in there than to be one of the chasing pack, fighting it out for the last spot.

I won tickets to that match in a Leicester Trader competition.

Hurlock and Van Den Hauwe were sent off for Millwall. Alex Rae should have been sent off after he punched David Oldfield in the face, but the ref didn't see it. He saw David Oldfield retaliate by pushing Rae in the back with his handbag, and sent Oldfield off. Neil Lewis thought the red card was for him and he made his way to the tunnel before being told to go back.

Yes Jeff - Pat Van Den Hauwe, what a player and a name!! I remember that now you've said it all - I thought what I had put already was far fetched enough but I remember the other incidents now you've reminded me of them.

I didn't win tickets to the game though, just watched it on Central Sports but I did however, deliver the Herald & Post later in life to add to the connection!

I think we can do it. We are under less pressure than those who already occupy the play off positions and for me our run in is as favourable if not better than those above us.

Let us not forget Barnsley held a Blackpool side away that beat the league leaders 3-0 ye previous match. They may have been tanked by the hammers, but don't underestimate them

Not a chance of making the playoffs. We realistically need to win 3 games or get 2 wins and 2 draws, and being a city fan since 1993, I just can't see it. Call me a pessimist, but we have only won two games back to back three times now in two seasons, so on current long term form my brain says, no chance.

I really really wish we would though, of course.

Cardiff have won 3 of their last 16 games in all competitions.
Hull have won 2 in 13.
Boro haven't won in 8 games.
Brighton have won one of their last 6 and have a bad run in.

In the last 6 games we've taken 7 points more than Boro, 9 more than Hull, 6 more than Brighton, and 3 more than Cardiff. Only Saints and Reading are in better form over the last 6 at the minute.

If we'd shown a bit more steel and not conceded in the last minute at Blackpool, and put at least one chance away against Peterborough then we'd have seen a minimum of another 3 points.

All if's and buts I know, but we're talking about only a tiny improvement in our game or even just a bit more fortune that could make all the difference should the current trends continue.

That said I think we might miss out by a single point.

You're a pessimist!
