Personally I reckon Henderson was lucky to stay on. I don't think he got anywhere near the ball.

Hendrie was very lucky to stay on too. Applauding the referee for showing him the yellow could and perhaps should have led to a second yellow.

lcfc.com says in its match report that McAuley did get booked for protesting against the penalty decision. I'll continue to check this elsewhere. I presume this must have happened at the Kop end - did anybody get a view of it?

Henderson and Hendrie got booked at the time of the penalty award. Barber said that McAuley was also booked at the same time, but I don't think that he did.

Stearman was booked late on.

McAuley was booked.

The ref gave out a booking to Hendo for the original foul, then McAuley for complaining against the decision (why he bothered it was as clear cut as any peno) and then Hendrie decided to 'put off' the Hull penalty taker and this caused some rumpus, so the ref promptly booked him.

Thanks Hazz. I have now amended it.

Barber and Piper thought it was the Hull attacker who was going to get booked for a dive.

I was listening to their commentary for some of the second half, I heard Piper say the ref's assistant hadn't signalled a penalty. He definitely did, I saw him put the flag across his chest. If they haven't seen something, they should say they haven't seen it, rather than say it didn't happen.

But it was just one of a number of mistakes the commentators made that wouldn't have been noticed by those who weren't at the game.
One that should have been obvious to everyone though, was with 51½ minutes on the clock, Barber said "Hull are about to make a substitution 90 seconds into the second half". The twat must have been asleep for five minutes. Either that or he thinks the game lasts 100 minutes.

or when they annouced it was 5 past 6 after the game when the program finishes at 6 and it was only 5 past 5!

I'd stopped listening by then, I can't stand listening to RL after the match, with the idiot fans phoning and texting, and the idiot managers and players with their post match excuses.

Another thing that annoyed me yesterday was when the PA announcer kept saying "good news for tigers fans". Does he not realise what Hull's nickname is? They though he was talking to them, then he gave the rugby score :icon_roll
Maybe he was just trying to piss them off, that's probably why he kept pronouncing their players' names wrong too.

I thought maybe he'd contacted you about the clarification of Hayles' 10th booking, as you stated above. Now I read it again, maybe you contacted him.... so maybe he doesn't read the forum.
