Cardiff 2-2 Leicester
(HT 1-1)
Cardiff win 7-6 on penalties

Cowie 33
Howard 40
Dyer 66
Gestede 82

Fernandes the only player to miss.

Mickey Mouse competition, etc....

Re: Cardiff City (A) League Cup

if the keeper saves none out of seven pens then you don't have much a chance really!

The Cardiff keeper didn't save any of his seven pens.

Where's Yann when you need him?

Aren't Dyer's wrists thin - almost skeletal, reminiscent of Izzet's little pegs.

Re: Cardiff City2 Leicester 2 League Cup

The thing that annoyed me most was the players giving up in the 2nd half of extra time and just playing for penalties, I don't care how tired they were after 100+ minutes of football, don't give up.

I don't think I'll bother with long distance away matches in the league cup anymore, too much money wasted on going to see 2nd string teams playing for a bit of fitness and not getting home until 2am really isn't any fun.

Weale allows nine goals in one game

Not sure if anyone else clued in to this, but as well as the two goals during the game, Cardiff scored seven consecutive penalties withoout Weale making a save

Sounds like a good performance from the lads, but in any sport with a goalie you need your final man to do something special to help win you the game

Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time Weale won a game for City, the way Kasper has already done several times this year

1. How did Johnson get on ?

2. Was St Ledger at fault for anything ?

3. Did Weale make any bloopers

4. How did the pies taste?

1. Played OK, I was impressed with Ball, both need more match fitness.
2. Lost the ball on the halfway line at one point which could have been dangerous, gave away the freekick for their 2nd
3. No real bloopers, just looked poor, no confidence.
4. Too expensive to bother trying one.

Your point being :102:

Re: Weale allows nine goals in one game

Our second team goalkeeper isn't the best goalkeeper in the world. Shock horror.

But who cares...let's all get our stones ready for his next appearance.
