What is it with Burton Albion and this tournament? Might be wrong but feels like they tend to do well.

were through didnt sound like we got any major injuries or indeed any bookings, morale boosting for Wood, game time for Baka and Miguel, good night all round

Has the result been declared null and void then? :102:

Great 2nd half though Marshall wouldn't have let them score two. :icon_cry:

Great to see Wood score few. All accounts claim he has been shit for us since his unexplained loss of form last season.

Great start to the season.

Absolutely chuffed for Lloyd. He's probably my favourite player now, there is so much to like about the bloke. Whenever he has been out of the side previously he's turned down moves, vowed to get his head down and every time he's come back with something. This is a small reward for that.

Good result.

Last night was a good opportunity for players to show their worth, Lloyd proved his attitude was spot on as always. Danns was the total opposite, thought he was the bollocks and displayed both attitude and ability that will hopefully put him even further away from our first team.

Come off it Danns did tweet about how happy he was to get a game, what more do you want! (baring skill, ability, aptitude, work rate etc.)

Don't want to put a downer on a good result, but Carlisle are a very very poor side. We scored five should have been probably been 7 or 8 despite their goalie making some great stops. Would agree with 'Waxed' Dyer had a great game, and the armband did him no harm at all. having said that he was given acres of space to use his speed which he did and created havoc. Thought Zak had a good game at centre half closely followed by Moore, first time I have seen him live, what a prospect he looks. the two new signings looked OK Ignacius what his name was very composed, Bakayoko, (if that's how you spell his name) looked raw around the edges, but he's also very quick. Danns was awful, distribution was poor as was his tackling, their second goal stemmed directly from his mistake. Knockert despite scoring did not look very effective did a lot of running without appearing to achieve much. Hopefully Woods hat-trick will give his confidence a much needed boost, but some of his first touches in the early stages of the match where woeful. Vardy worked hard for the side the penalty came from his direct run into the box. Overall a good result but one that was to be expected. Carlisle on this showing are in for a long hard season they will do well to avoid relegation based on last nights performance. Sorry Jeff.
