Anyone else experience the absolute shambles of the concourse catering at the Derby game?
It was a cold day, so I opted for a hot chocolate pre match, well thats what I wanted only they had none. I went to a couple of the other outlets only to be greeted with the same response. The game was about to kick off, so I jusy left it and thought they'd be replenished at half time.
Came down a few minutes before half time to beat the ridiculous queues, still to find no hot chocolate. So I ordered a tea and asked for some sugar. They couldn't give me any sugar (and I quote from the young lady who served me) "We only have sweetner sachets due to management losses". I questioned how on earth there could be losses by selling products at prices which are being sold from anywhere around 300% - 500% above their purchase cost. She was as bemused about it all as I was.
After i'd left the counter, the same young girl had the task of leaving her counter to enter the concourse to inform people that they were out of various products. I felt quite sorry for her that she'd been put in that position by her clearly very shit employers.
