Not based on tonights disappointing result i'm interested to know what peoples thoughts are regarding supporting the city next season.

It goes without saying that this as been one of the worst seasons in the history of LCFC . Here are a few questions that i would like your feedback on
This being the fourth consecutive season of dross, are you people that attend regularly, contemplating cutting down or even stopping because of the long term failure of the club?
If and when we sign a few more players in the summer, would it persuade you to carry on supporting in your usual way?
Have you not given it another thought and will carry on just the same next season?
Will you go if we are in the championship, but not if we are in lge 1.
Will you need to cut down because of a combination of the team not performing, and increasing fianancial pressures which make football become something of an unnecessary luxury.
If you travel to away games, will you reduce the number of games you attend, or even just go to the home games.

Not expecting an individual to answer all these questions, but any of those that maybe relevant to you
I ponder these questions on a night when only 19k (if i'm right) turned up to watch an important game. Is it now that the Leicester public are starting to tail off with their support, after what seems a never ending bleak period in the clubs history.

I'd love to wean myself off of this football lark, but I know damned well how much I would miss it if I did.

Biggest problem is, the club know there are lots more like me who have the club in the blood and they (all professional football) take us for bleeding mugs every flipping season knowing we will return.

If things don't improve, this will be my last season as a ST holder.

I appreciate that due to where i live i only get the oppertunity to go to a match every 2 months or so, but last time round (plymouth) i really couldnt be bothered. So im sat in The Connie (flecko), I get call 2 hours before KO "fancy a ticket for a fiver?". I get down (fiver return on the X4), pie and a beer later and the quids are racking up - then watch the worst Leicester match i've ever been too (and i've been to some feckers).....

Why Should i bother, the players clearly cant!

Kids for a quid, grass roots, half term specials - what about those of us who turn up when we can and pay 22 fecking quid to watch this dross from the back row in the corner behind the goal! Why bother???

I thought that 19k was about par for the course to be honest. Important game, yes - but not an attractive fixture on a cold night with a choice of top games on terrestrial television.

I think Milan got it right when he started here by saying that he would change and change managers until he got the right one.

It's obvious now that he hasn't that right one yet and we now need to get this season out of the way and he needs to find someone with the ability and credibility to prevent a repeat of the same next season. I think even the very young and very naive will find it tough to believe that the present set up is going to significantly change things.

Well I've been there for over 25 years, this was the first time that I've chosen to go out and do something else when I've got a season ticket. The situation may be recoverable but not whilst the current bunch of spineless w*nkers kick a ball for this club.

Now to find something to do on Saturday.

if it's in your blood then you go because deep down we feel it in our bones and we will be a force again with or without milan and ollie:icon_sad:

I have asked pretty much the same questions repeatedly for the last 19 years.

The only responses I have been given is that there is always a glimmer of hope that things will come good again, as witnessed fleetingly many years ago, therefore games must be attended on a regular basis in order to be able to say many years later "I was there".

I have come to the conclusion that at some point, City fans have either been brainwashed, suffer with obsessive compulsions, or are just plain stupid.

I think it's a disease, which thankfully, I appear to be immune to.

I know that Ben and Nick are seriously thinking about renewing whether we stay up or not.

I know I WILL renew however(cos I am a mug) but I am looking at how far my loyalty is going to be tested next season in regards to away games.

Having a pretty good record(if I do say so meself) of missing 2 games since the early 90s, I am already going to miss at least one game next season on the first weekend of November(unless of course we play someone away up near Manchester) as I have made a conscious decision not to let football get in the way of other important things in my life right now(Well, it's a Take That related Auction/party which won't interest youl ot, but holds far more interest for me!)

If we hadn't been playing Cardiff this weekend I would've missed that game as well, as I was in Cardiff for a TT-related party thing.

I also work a lot of satdee mornings now as well(my choice), whereas my usual satdee routine home games we would be in the pub for 11am and be back in there after the match for at least 3 hours.
Now I get to the ground for about 2pm, have a quick drink and then watch the crap, then get home asap.

If we go down:icon_cry: I actually think my decision will be an easy one, grounds I haven't been and probably the more 'interesting' fixture(like Forest and Leeds if they are there)

If we stay up, I honestly don't know, it would depend hugely on what signings we make-which hopefully would be an indicator of how serious the club is on what the quality of the players are. Fans NEED something to give them hope and positivity for the coming season, and if we only make medicore signings then it won't make people want to spend their hard earned cash paying to watch yet another season of shite football.

Blimey!!!! Even a court couldnt dish out a sentence like that:icon_bigg

Never attended a whole season home and away.

The closest was 84-85 when i missed 2 games:icon_redf. Southampton away at the Dingley Dell. I think it was a bank holiday game that was switched, and i fecked up my travel arrangements. Also Burton Albion behind closed doors at the Covscums Highfield rd.

Sorry to be a negative fecker...............

If we had got 2 points out of the last 2 games I wouldn't be so pissed off. Great result on Sat (which I didn't see) tonight was not great. On Sat everyone was saying a win is a win be positive, but that was just ignoring the fact that we play shit football and don't have the heart.

Well done Preston at least they look like they want to get out of this scrap on top.

Only good thing out of tonight, Sheff Wed conceed late and Covscum nearer the drop.

I hope we beat Bristol on Sat, but to be truely honest there is a part of me thinking I don't want to spoil their party. I will take a flukey own goal to win us the match, but I am envious of their position and I hope they go up.

I've seen too many bad performances this season.

But I guess begrudgingly I will be back.

I'll get a season ticket, next season no matter what. Like the rest of you lot. We all will. And you know it. Like muzzysgal said, its like a disease or OCD, you can't help yourself.

In terms of how many games I will drag myself to go to. I miss about 3 home games a season due to working evenings, and sometimes finding my boring job, more interesting than booking it off. I hardly ever go away, as I can't afford it on my wages. I missed 1 game due to illness (And we bloody won 4-0) and another due to a death in the family, and my Mrs insisted i Traveled to bloody Ireland over Christmas, so I missed the boxing day match.

I would probably still go if we were in league 2, imaginary beings forbid. I still reckon we will be alright this season though. Although to be honest we deserve to go down.

Lets have a sit in after a home game ,get the birch to come out with the micrphone ,followed by all the team ,ollie and milan .

then one by one they have to tell us why they can play the odd good game then do sod all for the next few .

why you let us down season after season

do you even want to be here

Is elvis injuryed :icon_bigg

oh and yes i will be going next season :icon_wink

Been thinking a lot about this and I have to say that IMO we have a squad capable of challenging for the top six.

Look at the squad we have these players are easily good enough for this division :

Alnwick, Stearman, Clapham, Kisnorbo, N'Gotty, McAuley, Hume, Hendrie, Clem, Oakley, Weso, Mattock, Howard, Campbell, Fryatt and Hayles.

IMO that is the basis for a squad with enough quality to challenge the best in this division and yet we are struggling at the foot of the table with relegation a real possibility. In fact on paper it is as good a squad as we have had since we came down IMO.

Yet the players seemed to lack motivation, hunger and desire, yet most have displayed this in abundance at previous clubs. In fact 5 of those players named were involved in promotion winning campaigns last season, so what has gone wrong ??

IMO it has been Milan's inability to attract a real top drawer Championship Manager. We have lurched from a hopeful punt in Martin Allen, who had never managed at this level, to a desperate move for Gary Megson, who at the time nobody would touch with a shitty stick to finally Ian Holloway who at best is a moderate to average Manager at this level.

If we are serious about moving forward as a club and ensuring that the potential that this club has is utilised to the maximum then IMO Milan has to get out there and appoint Billy Davies, the guy is available and his record at this level is superb, and I would imagine he would readily take on the challenge of taking this club forward, until we have a Manager of true and genuine quality we will continue to tread water or possibly even sink without trace.

It is now totally obvious that IH will never make it at Leicester and should go, it should have happened 5 games ago in my opinion.

His team aren't making it easy for him. Milan is being put in a position IMO. What odds on the Bristle game being Ollie's first and last in charge of the club?
