I noticed that Perez had a little kick out/follow through in the first half as well, it was one of those that was definitely avoidable and looked pretty deliberate.
 
If only Big Wes had chinned one of their lot at the end (don’t care which one) and then immediately announced his retirement

That's the whole point. He deliberately didn't play as well as he is doing now during at least the last 6 months he was with us.

It pissed us fans off and no doubt his ex team mates too.

Luke Thomas slipped. Just like many of the players last night.

Our replacement was James Justin, who was performing to a much higher standard than Chilwell ever did

Behind him was then Castagne who was forced to play in the back three

But yeah, let’s knock the 19 year old kid who has had to come in to cover for them both

Agree on the last bit, but not sure that Castagne has ever looked better than Chilwell at LB

Doesn't matter though. He's gone, and I agree about JJ. Let's hope we get another good left back in the summer (Gosens) and JJ comes back strongly
 
Why are we all bumming Chilwell all of a sudden? Most of us weren't bothered in the slightest when we let him go. He has always been good going forward but a shit defender. In those last two games he has probably been fuelled by facing his former club in two big games and played a blinder making some great runs and putting some great deliveries in, but aside from that has spent a fair bit of time on the bench for them too... We were unfortunate to lose his replacement to a long term injury but James Justin was having a great season before that. Luke Thomas has done okay since he came in, again as with Chilwell when he was younger, there's great potential there...

And anyone who thinks Luke Thomas is going out on loan or would benefit in any way from a loan next season is deluded.

Also - How old was Chilwell when he shit his pants at millwall? Can't be critical of Thomas tbh as ideally he shouldn't be playing. Expecting a 2nd/3rd/4th choice 19 year old to not make errors would be silly.

Luke Thomas is a lovely boy and has the potential to be a terrific footballer.

Ben Chilwell is a no good ingrate.
