Why are people whinging about the club not being able spend on loans and players? we have not long come out the s##t! keeping the club afloat and running smoothly is the main aim! It's as though some in this forum think we have a god given right to be back up in the big time, the fact of the matter is this: The club plunged into administration and without generosity and good business moves we would have been history!

If MM had not gone for the club would people be questioning RK's abilities as a manager? we have no funds and a pretty cack squad, and the only way the situation will change is money being made available, and that will only come fromm the MM deal (if it goes through).

RK can only work with what he has at his disposal, and has anyone not considered that players in the pre season did not think that city was a viable option,and therefore chose not to come to city? RK signed only those who would come to the club, to put it simply it's a huge shi# sandwich and we are gonna have to take a bite, the only way fortunes will change is if the take over goes ahead. So stop the whinging get behind what we have got, christ its as though some of you lot are pro managers yourself!

We still pay decent(ish) wages for this level - don't we have a wage bill that's still in the top 10 of this division?

RK had the opportunity to bring players into the club and ship whoever he could last summer. In interviews at the time he readily admitted the priority was to bring in a ball winning midfielder to replace Joey, instead he acquired a multitude of central defenders and Johnson who couldn't win a ball back from Myleen Klass. He also has done nothing to provide a different style of forward than we already had i.e. some height to give us at least one alternative attacking option.

RK can only play one system - 4-4-2, my non pro-manager understanding of football is that a team in our position, without any fuds to buy our way out of trouble, should use the formation best suited to the make up of the squad. With our current team i.e. with a strong back line, this would surely be 3-5-2?

The current team never, ever look fired up which is surely one of the key skills a football manager, or his assistant need.


You say get behind the team - this is what the supporters, in surprising large numbers, have been doing, do you think any of the team or management read this board and get hacked off and underperform?

I think that something has gone wrong with the spirit in the dressing room, look a the Villa game and then look at what was offered up yesterday, same squad of players, same manager, same venue, but the performances were as different as chalk and a very smelly dairy product.

Hey Buster I've got news for you I'll keep on moaning whilst I have to put up with the utter shite thats being served up in the name of football after all its a managers job to create ...motivate...and utilise what squad he has in the club.......... mix and match players to suite a system he would like to play and we aint seeing ferk-all like that.
A decent Senior League side could beat this lot at the moment ....... I wish they'd show the same desire and commitment on the pitch that they do when they buy their cars and household goods.
look at the car park there's no lack of desire to get a cracking automobile is there

I dont doubt that some players lack commitment if what the rumours are saying is true about MM then most of that squad will be dismissed, the problem is that when we win we talk about promotion when we lose we talk about relegation, wake up and smell the coffee! the only way the situation will change if MM comes good.

Reference to pre summer signings RK thought Jhonson would cut the mustard, he hasnt, the problem is that we have no way of sorting the midfeild out with out a cash injection and the club being in a strong financial situation, so that players will want to come to city as they are seen to be a club moving forward and that will only happen if MM pulls it off!

as for fans not showing commitment why reply to posts telling people not to go to games??????

My point is this. If the MM deals collapses then it will take 5yrs plus to sort out the club and move us forwards, so the only thing we can do as fans is support the team as best we can, if the team is playing crap what are we gonna do sack people in a squad that is tiny?

Don't agree. I believe we have the squad to be challenging for promotion.

I don't think we need to spend a penny on players to have half a chance. We need to spend it on the backroom staff who can get the current crop of idiots playing better

The players should be working harder, not getting worse. Personally, we say a lack of commitment from the player but in IMO I just don't think they have the quality to be good enough, that's why I am resigned to the fact we're shite, here is not much different between the good and the bad in this division. Colchester have a terrific work ethnic which hasovided them with good results.

The players are massively under-performing and are demonstrating little interest in the club.

The manager - might be a decent bloke (who cares if he is or isn't) but is demonstrably not getting the best out of the players - and seems to have lost the plot as far as team selection is concerned.

I don't know who you think is calling for money to be spent on new players. I'm not. Frankly i wouldn't think that the current manager would know how to effectively use those resources - and certainly wouldn't seem to be able to motivate incomers.

I havent missed a home game since i became a season ticket holder and pay for all the cup games... I know people will say thats my choice.. It just makes me mad that the players cant at least try and put on a show for us?

about 60% of the current squad is not good enough simple as that! players no that there place is pretty much a certaintity as the squad is not exactly big enough! therefore I disagree and believe we do need to bring in a bit of quality. as for the work ethic I do agree with what you are saying, how ever if you look at the teams that are doing well the majority can play a decent PASSING game consistently!
the players at our disposal can not even do that for 40 mins in a game let alone over 3 or 4, you are right in saying that there is not a lot in most of the teams in this league, however those that can play with the ball and finish it are doing well those that cant US! will struggle and that is because the majority of our squad are not good enough

I look at Bolton and Portsmouth who are 4th and 5th in the PL and look at your statement. Are we truly smaller as a Club than Portsmouth or Bolton? I think not. We are 18th and that means that seventeen other clubs are doing better than us. Do all of them have better squads or more money. No.

We are where we are because of the way we have been managed at a Board level and at a Team level. There is no other reason. We have had many opportunities with the squad and with Managers and never grasped the nettle on any occasion(s). :icon_conf
