I've seen Under 11s play with alot more pride than City....and they have to pay SUBS.

But you have to ask why this is the case.

Surely, it's because they are aware on a daily basis what a rubbish club we have become i.e.

- we have a board and senior management that has thrown in the towel and is'nt making a particularly effective job of negotiating a takeover of their responsibilities...at least in the sense of poor communication skills and basically allowing the cat's paw (the FT) to let out often self-contradictory dribs and drabs;

- we have a manager who has completely lost the plot (e.g. selections for the Sunderland game) and one can assume the respect of the changing room.

Does anyone believe that the players would exhibit such little pride and effort if their was any sort of leadership at the Walkers?

Gerry is….. he is working with the youth sides for nothing as there is no funding available from the club!

Listened to Gerry Taggart on RL after the game and what he had to say just made my heart sink even further on how much sh*t our club is in. He is currently working down at city earning his coaching badges and training the kids, he is also scouting a few players for RK and is doing all of this for free, he said that there is no money to even employ a coach after the last one left for Sunderland. He is basically doing it to help out and gain experience, I knew money was not there for players, but FFS.

Last year I was talking to a very well known figure at the Walkers and he was saying how little pride there was amongst the players. Small things such as not turning up looking smart when meeting "the public" whilst representing the club at offical events. In the past it would have been a jacket and probably a tie, now it is often jeans and t-shirt.
To some it may not seem significant but he felt it was indicative of the general feeling.
