Apart from the early scare, we have looked composed and everybody is playing their part. Mahrez showing signs of getting back to his best, that free kick was sublime and has done his confidence the world of good. Hernandez looking steady and assured whilst Amartey again looking useful in midfield, as for Slimani he looks superb, hard working, decent touch and looks a threat in the air, will form a brilliant partnership with Vardy.

How desperately did Spurs need that goal from Toby Alderweireld? They had lost their way and Wembley was growing increasingly restless - now it is all perfectly set up for the second half.

The goal has changed the mood completely and Spurs left the field at half-time to thunderous applause.
