It sounded like the ref had a shocker, and he cost us a goal. But he didn't make our forwards miss 2 or 3 chances and he didn't tell Rob Kelly not to do anything about it until the 600th minute.

The game was in our hands, when we lost the lead we should have been all out attack to get it back again. I know it's difficult to judge when not at the game, but that's how I see it. As Taggart said, our heads went down after the dodgy decision. Well IMO this attitude is the difference between success and failure, and as long as we have this attitude, failure is looming. We threw in the towel

We needed to win, the game was there to win, we could have won, we didn't win. Again.

Disappointed

That's about the 5th or 6th goal we've had disallowed in the last 3 or 4 games. It good to see that we know where the net is but we really need to sort ourselves out and try to stay onside.

FFS lads get a grip, we are the first side to get any points at layer rd all season.

It was the nature of the game, not the result. It was ours, we gave up. If you're happy then great

Home to the left, away to the right
Code:
Colchester 28 11 1 2 35 12 2 4 8 11 19 44 15

Two teams had come away with all three points before us and our one point. ;)

Isn't it always...:icon_roll Unless you saw the game you can't really say,you can't go by the RL commentary

The Colchester commentary said that Leicester would see it as two points dropped and that Colchester would see it as one point gained. :icon_conf

But thats not to say it was the refs fault,it may well have been but we seem quick to blame the ref.It seems theres a moan about the Ref every saturday

:icon_conf So what did the two teams who beat them get ?:icon_conf

Colchester manager Geraint Williams felt his side were fortunate to be awarded the penalty from which they equalised:
"I have watched it back with Leicester boss Rob Kelly and we both felt it was soft.

"I can understand them being a little disapointed but I am not one to cry when decisions go against us. "A point at home is not exactly terrible - and now we have 34 points out of 36 here which is not bad."

What's the manager on about then?

Even so the point still stands, they beat Southampton, Cardiff and Wolves recently. So there!

care to apologies hf-i'm not one for blaming the referee for everything but today from what i heard we sounded generally the better side for most of the game-also the fact the referee showed a colchester player a red when he was show him a yellow, sums in my opinion the mans credentials-its not an easy excuse to make-the referee genuinely cost us 2 points today.

The ref had the worst game I've seen for a long time... he sent off a Col U player in the second half and then called him back after he realised he had co*ked up !..... & it defenitley wasn't a pen... no Colchester palyers appealed either

The game was there to be won in the first half... Taitto "bossed" the game from mid-field and we should have gone in more than one up... All the players did well up to the "pen" ... then they let Col U get to every second ball and press the game. We still should have won ... Fryatt missed a 1 on 1 and Williams headed wide of an open goal in the 89min !

anyway.... one of the better preformances of late and deserved a draw... all the Colchester fans I was sitting with said the first half was as good team that they had seen there so far !!....Blimey !

Rk should have made changes earlier and gone for the win... but when you look at our bench I don't know how he would have improved it too much.

He was totally inept.

Someone told me it was his first Championship game in charge...well if it was I bloody hope it was his last!

Most of the bookings were a joke and then he showed the red card to a Colchester player that he thought he had already booked, but had it pointed out to him by the Colchester players that he hadn't.....so showed him the yellow instead.

I don't know what his name is, but I'll blinkin recognise him if I see him again!

As for the game, though first half we were the better side, and deserved our lead, second half and straight away was the penalty, I don't have a clue what it was given for tbh, but someone said they saw the ref indicate it might've been a shirt pull, now if it was, it was more than likely Paddy doing it, and tbf to that huge monster up front for them, he was doing that all first half down our end and it's an aspect of Paddy's game i bloody dislike intensely.

They just didn't seem to be able to get into the game after that for AGES...Though towards the end of the game we created a few half-chances, so all in all, I reckon a point was fair.

And tbh, I would've settled for that before the game!

Well i know the last two results have been draws, but it does sound like were stringing a few performances together. All things being equal if you play consistently well you should start winning matches and points will start accumulating.

Lets hope they keep it up, or are they just scared that if they don't play well in the month of Jan they'll get flogged of to the Posh for 40 grand!!!!

They lost their first 2 home games, and have got 34 out of 36 points at home since then.

Given that record a point is a good result, if you look at our league position. However the refereeing decision makes it 2 wasted points. We might have missed chances, but we have had some shocking decisions this season.

Refs name was McDermid I believe and an idiot to boot, it was his first game at Championship level hopefully his bloody lastmade some of the most awful and surprising decisions I've seen in years,
The two disallowed goals were for climbing and a dubious offside The penalty I reserve judgement on, it certainly did'nt look much from my standing point but it did put the skids under the city, they.... never really threatened throughout the match just got lucky with the Penalty.

Layer Road is one big bikeshed just short of 6.000 there I think I heard, the away end is a disgace, with one bog and a great deal of difficulty seeing the whole of the pitch unless you could get behind the goal. Never been before and wont go again.

He is the worst ref I've ever seen at a Leicester match.

You are correct Beaumont, it was his first Championship match, and after his woeful performance, I hope it is his last.
