Colchester Post Match Thread

Layer Road is one big bikeshed just short of 6.000 there I think I heard, the away end is a disgace, with one bog and a great deal of difficulty seeing the whole of the pitch unless you could get behind the goal. Never been before and wont go again.

Those toilets were awful..and I never even used them!
After hearing what my mate said about being able to see you blokes doing your business it put me off..and then she said you couldn't even close the door properly on the 'ladies'!

Surely on Health and Safety grounds they should've had one or two more of those portaloo thingies anyhoo....though they wouldn't let us minions who were standing use it! they said it was for those in the seated area!

Now reckoning on two of these toilets and each of the people having two pisses on each of their five working days, these toilets should be fit for 2 x 10 x 2 x 5 over a 7-day period. That's 200 pisses over 7 days. But what do we have at football game? Well, there were 135 people in the stand and about 200 on the terrace for which these were the nearest toilets. I only had 2 pints before the game and 2 pisses - there will be plenty that had more than me. But even if everybody had an average of just one piss each, you're still talking about over 300 pisses in a period of just over 2 hours - our 299 if you count for the fact that Beaumont didn't go! And it was exactly as the label describes - INSANITARY and DISGUSTING

And yes, I did use the one marked 'LADIES' - but as all the ladies had decided to take the same course as Beaumont I knew I would be safe. And it weren't me that pissed on the seat!!

I don't have many standards but on this occasion those toilets were lower than the standards I have!

I also thought it was against FA rules for a team to have standing now? Didn't a team get prevented from being promoted from the Conference for sub-par stadium?

Haven't they started the ball rolling to building a new ground as in getting planning permission etc?
That would mean they wouldn't have to 'upgrade' wouldn't it?

care to apologies hf-i'm not one for blaming the referee for everything but today from what i heard we sounded generally the better side for most of the game-also the fact the referee showed a colchester player a red when he was show him a yellow, sums in my opinion the mans credentials-its not an easy excuse to make-the referee genuinely cost us 2 points today.

Why ?:icon_conf The point I was making was that you can't make a judgement on a Ref by what Radio Leicester were saying and I would rather wait until I hear the opinions of people who actually went.The other thing is that we do seem to quick to say the Ref was shite after every game,in this case he may well have been but he can't be every week.It was a good point ,Cochester are a good team at home.

It was a shit point. I don't care about the circumstances or statistics, Again, we lost a lead and didn't appear to chase it. Not good enough

But if you look at thier record at home it wasn't.Whatever the score its clear to see that we aren't good enough but just taking the result on its own and if neuteral looked at both teams form annd position's in the table then he/her would say that a point away from home against a team who have the best home record in the League is a good point.

On paper it's a fairly good result. In reality when we are still not clear of a relegation battle and don't appear to want to alter our game plan towards success when it's there for the taking, it's rubbish

Just saw the goals and the red card farce, we deserved 3 points...rubbish referee...awful.

If anyone saw the championship this morning there was a good piece on Cadamatrie(sp?). I really hope the lad can do well and prove himself.

Just run this query and see how many games he has ruined and how many managers have complained about him. It is not sour grapes as there so many complaints but rather his level of competence that is at issue. The point I'm again making is that you can't judge a Ref by a commentary on RL...you can't judge a performance by a commentary on RL.It appears he was awful but I judge that on what people said on here who went and not on what Barber & Co say
