What is the actual craic with the covid tests anyway? Is it just the ones you do at home yourself then report the result? Surely not...

I assume it will be the one you can link to the NHS app for a 'covid pass'.

Had to do it for going to London last week and was gobsmacked when it just asks you if the result was positive or negative!

Completely pointless.

That's exactly it - same as for the FA Cup.

I tested negative, but if you do test positive, there's no validation at all.
Because obviously if you're a die-hard fan and a covid sceptic you'd skip one of the biggest days in the club's history because a tiny bit of plastic told you to.
As M17TT says. Pointless.

FA Cup wasn't like that

Had to be done at a centre

If the capacity is 90,000 and 53,000 have gone to the clubs, who are the rest going to? I know there are Wembley club members but 37,000 is a large number of tickets to hold back.

From what I can gather, the two clubs have sold approx. 30,000 between them to date.

McDonald’s are the sponsors and they give a shed load to grass roots football I had free tickets a few years ago, when my mate was managing a local girls team

It’s the Community Shield - a huge number go to community groups and grassroots Clubs

Going by the lack of interest from both sets of fans McDonald's should of given tickets away with the purchase of a big mac

Nope. Did it at my flat. No centre involved.
I'm not surprised, it did say you had to do it at an assisted centre but like most things for Wembley they didn't actually give a shit.

As for giving them away with a big mac, I still wouldn't be going to this.

The Euros matches just needed a self reported result confirmation too.

Yep, euros semi was self reported test, presume this is aswell as its not a 'test event'. being double jabbed is obvs the best way....

I've just looked at the buying process to see what the fuss is about.

I created an account in Mrs Jeff's name. I added her to my "friends and family" list in my LCFC account. I added two tickets to my basket, and assigned one to her.

It was a bit fiddly, but easy enough to do, took less than 5 minutes.

Does it let you use the same email as your account? When i was setting up an account for my 5 year old (at the time) i had to open a new email account.

Don't know. I assumed not, so I used a new email address.

I have several domains with catchall emails, so I can easily just use a new address - something I do for every company I give an email address to. Makes it easy to identify and block spammers if you do that.
