Not another 25+ year old who's going to hold back the potential of 12yr old Sammy Hobsnatch, who is the best player England scout Bob Baggins has seen for 12 months.

Its a disgrace that MA should pay £500k when we have this sort of talent at our fingertips. I've looked on CM4 and he's only bagged 1 in 2 when Isor Magdanovic from People's Republic of Uzbejstan has notched 96 goals in 12 games from right back!

I've supported City for 87 years, and this is the worst state the club has been in since Nobby McNess was manager and even then we had Old Johnny Weaterholt up front.

Either MA sorts out his transfer policy or I'm pinning my season ticket to the windscreen of Alan Cork's car and crap all over it before going off to support a properly run club like Coventry.

Great signing IMO,don't want to get too carried away,still some way to go before he signs..look at McAteer,not that I was dissapointed that fell through.If he signs I would imagine he'd be first choice up front with Dublin,couldn't see him joining us without him knowing that.Heard he's a greedy bastard(not in the Rogers way)but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

i think he'll b better then dickov, he has the same commitment but also more skill and quality. maybe we should also get shipperely, the last time they played together they scored 40+ goal between them

Connolly looks like an excellent signing (when it happens) but I just hope that the potential move hasn't been too widely flagged and his agent isn't waiting now for last minute alternative approaches. If not it just shows how little money is around when a reasonably young proven goal scorer at a decent is available at that sort of money.

We probably could and did!!!! We were very close to signing Benty, I think the only problem in the end was that he wanted the premiership & Everton over the greatest club of them all...sad, but understandable

Anyways, we shouldn't look back in anger, we potentially (fingers and toes crossed) have a great goalscorer in Connolly. I'm excited about the new season now. I think as fans we deserve a signing of some quality after the off season we have had. All we need now is to nab one off the sheep and we are laughing, or should I say we are Premier league, we are premier league?
