Silver Fox i find your reference to derby county as "sheep" extremely offensive and ask that you keep small minded references to yourself.

I know when that thought crossed your mind it must have been a long and lonely journey...if I throw a stick will you leave

Sunderland have also had a bid accepted, wouldn't surprise me if he went there instead of us. I expect him to infact.

he's bound to go there!!!! It would f'ing serve us right for bloody spouting our mouths off again about the bid being accepted! I dont see sunderland doing that!!!

F'ing idiots!!!!

Remember Mick Mcarthey was connolys ireland manager!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunderland have not had a bid accepted contrary to reports in the Independant

Pardew said today he's in talks with Sunderland and us at the moment. Unless he's lying :)

Nothing to worry about, the deal should all be confirmed tomorrow, friday latest. Trust me.

I don't distrust you but the words 'Trust' and 'me' were banded about together just before we were supposed to sign Bent...now I have a bad feeling :?

Which deal? Him coming to City or going to Sunderland?

I really hope he chooses us but all this "Trust me" stuff - how do you know what's going on in Connolly's mind? He might be using us to get a better deal out of Sunderland.

I wish the club would stop announcing "signings" before they are in the bag - it's going to be embarrasing and bloody annoying if this one slips through our fingers after all the spin. It made other clubs/fans sit up and realise that we are going to be a threat next season... if it fails we'll be a laughing stock AGAIN! :x

I know... keep the faith...

BTW> my gripe is not with the information bearers (keep up the good work) i'm annoyed with the way the club/website is putting spin on EVERYTHING these days.

There is nothing on the hammers website about Connolly and sunderland and there is a rumour that he doesn't want to live up north

It says on the Hammers site he's talking to Sunderland.

Commenting on the recent speculation surrounding David Connolly, Alan Pardew said: "I confirm that I have agreed to let David hold talks with Sunderland and Leicester City. A fee has been agreed for his transfer and now the decision is up to him."

Connolly, who joined the Hammers from Wimbledon in July 2003 for £285,000, made 48 senior appearances and scored 14 goals for the Club.

City boss Adams said: "We now have Kevin Pressman on board and I am confident that David Connolly's move will be completed, but we still need to strengthen the squad further.

"I still don't know how we stand in terms of Nikos Dabizas staying with us or taking his option to leave."

Sounds positive. I'm sure he won't want to upset the fans by building hopes up. Then again he was after McAteer!!!

Why can't signing someone be straightforward anymore. Waiting is the worst part, just wish Connolly would decide. :x
