City goalkeeper Conrad Logan has today (Monday) started a loan spell with Sky Bet League 1 club Rochdale.
The 28-year-old Irishman heads to Spotland for one month and should be available to feature for Keith Hill's side when they travel to Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night.

Conrad's temporary recruitment comes after Dale goalkeeper Josh Lillis sustained an injury in the Greater Manchester club's 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield at the weekend, meaning the City Academy graduate could go straight into the starting line-up at Gresty Road.

One of the Foxes' longest-serving players, Logan has spent 11 years as a professional at King Power Stadium, during which he has enjoyed successful loan spells with Stockport County, Luton Town, Bristol Rovers and Rotherham United.

Newly-promoted Rochdale will also face Bristol City, Bradford City, Crawley Town, Sheffield United and Walsall in the next month, as they look to bounce back from successive defeats in their first two League 1 outings.

If he has been here 11 years, shouldn't he be offered a testimonial?

A faithful servant and not a bad goalkeeper.

If I remember right, he played against Rochdale in a Wembley play off final

He was the first Leicester City player to play at the new Wembley.

Always makes me smile nervously to recall that the year we plummeted down to League 1, Conrad was on loan at Stockport helping them get promoted ....

Logan was MOTM today to keep Rochdale in the FA Cup as they drew 0-0 at Aldershot according to the Aldershot assistant. Made some really good instinctive saves.

Has regularly been MOTM or highly praised since his loan move. Maybe we should try and bring him back and get him back between the sticks ?

A shame he was so happy to sit on his arse here for so many years rather than carving out a career based around being a decent goalie lower down.

To fill the entire goal up? Yes I guess that will help our goal conceding problem.
