Cooper's gone

Wasn’t expecting it to be that quick based on how long it took for Puel and Rodgers to be booted. But I’m guessing we have nothing lined up as per usual.

Cooper will go on to have a successful career elsewhere I’m sure. He had a great track record prior to coming to this crazy ****ed up mess of a club.

Oh well you all got your wish. I’m sure we’ll now shoot up the table with the amazing squad of players we have and Whelan/Rudkin overseeing it all…

A decent track record prior to coming to us.

I wouldn’t say it was great. Unless you define Championship promotion and one season survival as “great.”

Truth is that nobody know how his career is going to go. He doesn’t really have too much of a track record.

Good luck to him though.

I’m not so sure. His last 20 at Notts Forest didn’t go well

I am not sure he can hack it in the prem.

Well, there won't be too many tears shed. Thoroughly uninspiring appointment right from the off and as the games went by it became clearer and clearer that the fans' fears were entirely justified.....

Yeah, don’t you? Especially doing it with a team who were bottom of the Championship and hadn’t been in the Prem for 20 odd years.

He kept them up in their first season and they weren’t even in the bottom three when they binned him off.

Anyway, pointless discussion now because he’s gone. Let’s hope it ends up being the right decision.

You sound upset.

Don't worry, whoever gets him next will be incredibly lucky to have him.

At least you can go back to hoping we actually win matches now.

I always did, I always do. I didn't skulk off when we were winning games..... All two of them.

I got sick of throwing money down the shitter to watch Cooper pretend he was a football manager.

Also, if it’s not a knee jerk reaction, you’d think we have a replacement lined up.

But I highly doubt it.
It doesn't matter. He was doing damage. If you've got a leaking tap you're best to shut it off rather than let it run and flood the house because you haven't got a washer in the toolbox.

I don't bear SC any malice - I initial voted 'until Christmas' in the poll, and losing against ManUtd and Chelsea wasn't a disaster - but it was the nature of it, the meek surrender in those defeats, that made me think that we needed a change sooner. Looking forward to a fresh start.

If you’d been monitoring the leak and watching what was a small drip get worse and worse, you’d have the number of a plumber lined up ready to call.

Phew!
