Yes it is.

The ref should have stopped the goal kick being taken if there was going to be a review. Once it was taken it's too late.

What about incidents not seen by the on-field officials?

The VAR has a short window to intervene on unseen incidents.

If the ball is in play, they have until the next restart. If it is out of play, they have until the second restart.

I will take a point and no injuries today. We could easily be talking about a Ndidi or a Vardy or a Castagne being out for several weeks now. The big picture is that we have a minimum of 25 matches ahead of us. If we are serious about trying to be competitive in the EL, we have to do things like this today.
.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda. On that basis why play any of them? Fine, if Vardy is feeling it a bit, or Ndidi is being worked back in gradually, then make changes on an individual basis. This feels a bit like a half measure though and the inclusion of Evans in both matches doesn’t seem to match the theory anyway.

Because the theory is pulled out of the 'Big Book of Management' by Claude Puel.

Just heard from BR on all his decisions on selection.

Castagne couldn't be risked due to recovering hamstring. Fofana has had a knee problem for weeks but have not been able to rest him but two matches in 48 hours wasn't realistic. As a result, Evans had to play even though he didn't want to play him. Soyuncu was only fit enough for 30 mins if the game allowed.

Ndidi is still in danger zone with his injury recovery so couldn't play, Maddison was injured and Vardy can't start two matches in that timescale.

He said that Justin and Barnes are young and both fit enough to play whatever the gap between games.

So why can Vardy come on after sitting on a cold bench for 60 minutes?

He's going to need a much longer injury list to justify playing Ian Ade Nachos for 70+ ****ing minutes. I assume all players not playing or on that injury list are dead?

It still does not explain why he playe Iheanacho surely P

Evans can manage his game a little better, as a CB, than a midfielder or attacker. He's a pro, experienced in doing what's needed when it's needed, he can read the game. He doesn't have to hare around the field like other positions do.

It's not as vital to rest a CB.

That makes no sense. Sorry, mabs, don’t agree with that.

Complete bollocks from Rodgers. And what was up with Tielemans ?

Play Vardy, Tielemans and Ndidi from the off and take them off when we’re three nil up

He's ****ed this up big time

Precisely. Play him for 45, get the goals. Rest him. Relying on Iheanacho for anything other than comedy is ****ing obscene.
and if he had and Vardy got injured you would be going mad at him for getting Vardy injured, Vardy was on the bench for an emergency

To be fair I can see the logic, play Nacho from the start and if we go a couple of goals up (as we should have done), then Vardy is rested for 90 mins.

starting with Vardy means he’s playing for (probably) a minimum of 45 minutes.

I was dumbfounded by Gray though, what a useless **** he has proven to be year after year, manager after manager.

It still does not explain why he played Iheanacho surely Perez ( I am huge critic of his!) would have been a better solution? defensively we were okay and it was good to see Amartey playing in the position we original signed him for.

We now have what 4-5 days rest before the Newcastle game? that selection tonight was borne out of two things, one arrogance or two, he is trying to exact pressure on the board to free up funds for January. brnging on Gray was stupendifying he has not played all season and he left Albrighton on the bench who has linked well with JJ for the majority of games.

Catagne and Fofana I compleely understand but he put out a team with zero creativity in the middle he should have played Praet alongside Mendy with Praet slightly ahead, Thomas really does look a good prospect our biggest problem will be a striker because if Vardy falls injured we can forget European football next year.

I guess he was hoping we'd win the game without them. He obviously forgot to tell Kelechi the plan.

What's this changes at half time shizzle? 70odd feckin minutes we gave that absolute waste of space. Morgan and Danny Ward didn't play against man United so could have chanced them at half time up front.
