Total over reaction. The right management team changes the entire dynamic of the club. We just need to find the right manager.

O, so how many times do we need to change managers before the players have to answer the question? Ranieri's second season, Shakey, now Puel. If we're shit next season with a different manager, will it be his fault? What about the next?

A few too many players don't give a shit, it's pretty blatant.

Bit embarrassed for Silva. Swerving our fans and giving his shirt to a Palace fan. If there are people complaining in the dressing room wouldn't surpise me if he is one.

Crowd really turned when the 4th went in. Lots of 'sacked in the morning' and 'Puel out'. Also singing of Pearson and Ranieri's names.

Well up until now I've been on the fence really. Still think it's early to get rid of a manager and always tough on a manager who hasn't much chance to make his own signings or had a pre season.

But from the John Percy story this week to have this kind of performance and get utterly trounced, then you'd suspect Puel is now a goner. They might not react straight away as we won't get someone new until the end of the season anyway, but I suspect that is the nail in his coffin.

The squad is full of good players. The key is getting a good manager who knows how to get the best out of then. Anybody that tries to get Danny Simpson overlapping his winger doesn't understand how to manage players. I am a PE teacher. If the head of my school told me to teach music he would not be utlising my strengths and would surely expect poor results. Puel is clueless.

I've changed my mind. Watching that unfold it became obvious that whether you think he should stay or go is irrelevant now - the announcement will come on Monday no doubt. I never wanted him in the first place but in a way I'll be disappointed, we need to phase out the old guard and that's going to take time, something that we just haven't given enough of to this manager. The 'band of brothers' has become toxic to the club and needs disbanding...

I'd go in for Benitez or Wenger. Pretty sure Newcastle will finish above us and we'll end up in 10th if Puel miraculously manages to see out the season but no doubt the sacking will bring about a mild improvement for the last few games when the players can just go out there and play however they feckin want.

Like it or not, no club can realistically get rid of all its players. So Micky is right, you start by appointing a viable manager and I guess a proper Director of Football. Puel has proved to be a simply dreadful appointment but I doubt if he had any support from the hierarchy and the players have been allowed to stitch him up. I also think that at the margins that the narrative provided by the LM that somehow Puel was on target and engineering a successful transition was not only tripe but deeply unhelpful and may have encouraged a deluded Puel.

A post-2016 nadir?

I’d never thought we’d get this bad so quickly looking back at the So’ton away game

Sacked on Monday surely. I really don’t like calling for a manager’s head but this is truly awful.

I don't hate the guy. He is a completely non offensive manager. I do however dislike Mourinho. Now he is a twat.

Can't believe people are actually happy to put no blame on the players and make it clear cut on the manager being the one to blame.

Some of those players bottled it as much as our dullard of a manager.

It's not one or the other, it's both.

I've had enough of some of these one dimensional ****ers as much as I've had enough of CP.

Hamer, Dragovic, Silva, Choudhry, Nacho, Diabate all played today

None of them played for the previous managers. Maguire only played a few games for one of them

Yet 'the players have sacked three managers in a row' keeps on coming

Well, yes, except it's a different set of players every time....

What about the rest of them?

Good point.

And the same can be said for the those who insist on only blaming the players and pretending that no manager could ever get the best out of them.

Maguire just about sums it up:

"We fully want to achieve as high as we can in the Premier League. Today we looked like we were all on our holidays."

You see, if either of these were likely to be the replacement, I'd agree BUT, I doubt that Wenger will manage in the Premier League (He's too close to Arsenal to manage against them) and Benitez is likely to remain at Newcastle.

Truly horrid to watch.

I don’t think Palace were 5 goals better but some of our players were guilty of not being arsed.

I can’t see us winning any of our last 3.
