Surely it would have to look more like this? :icon_wink

................Casillas
Puyol hobbs vitor Ramos
............... oakley
............ Iniesta Fabregas
DJ................... Villa
................Torres

Team that started against Swansea, first game of last season -

01 Weale
04 Morrison
06 Brown
15 Berner
25 Hobbs
08 Oakley
10 King
11 Dyer
19 Wellens
09 Howard
12 Fryatt

Quite interesting, maybe only two or three changes from that squad on Saturday.

I'm guessing it would be difficult to re-sign Brown from Preston and then be a starter for Saturday?

72-0 surely? Koumas to pop a couple in for you on his way 'darn sarf' to Sunday's main event.

May I make a plea that whatever the score we will reserve judgement on the new management.

I have form on this and none of it good.
In 1995 I was one of those who thought Martin O'Neill was a disaster who had ruined Mark McGhee's good work. I did not boo and have never booed but I agreed with the booers opinion.
In the autumn of 2000 I pointed to a newspaper picture of Peter Taylor and told some bemused Americans that this was "the greatest living Englishman". My excuse was that the picture showed Taylor waving a blue and white scarf to celebrate Leicester being top of the Prem.

The players may take time to adjust to Sousa's new style. I do not know whether his ideas will work or not. I do not that when you appoint someone with new ideas he deserves the time to try out those ideas.

Weale

Adams
Morrison
Hobbs
Berner

N'Guessan
Wellens
King
Dyer

Campbell
Fryatt

Subs: Logan, Vitor, Moreno, Gallagher, Howard, Oakley

Unless Lamey signs then he replaces Adams.

Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Leicester

It seems to me that unless Lamey signs for the club Paulo has a problem at right back. Neilson is not good enough. I have not seen Adams play there but note that he has been left out of the last two games. We know Morrison is a good right back but that leaves a vacancy at centre back. Vitor has not played in recent matches and I would expect him to be on the bench rather than to start.

As for the rest of the team I generally prefer Wellens to Oakley. I have a feeling that Paulo will include DJ and Fryatt but how they line up may depend on whether Howard is included as well. Paulo seems to like to pick Dyer and he is probably right.

One player I have not mentioned is Andy King. He seems to me to be an obvious pick It is far too early in his career to compare Andy King to John McGovern but I do feel the potential is there. My guess is that everyone would have him in their starting XI. Considering the criticism he used to receive about a year ago that is quite an achievement for the young man.

Palace banned from playing Garvan in admin row
Published 22:30 05/08/10 By Mirror Football

Crystal Palace will not be able to play new boy Owen Garvan against Leicester tomorrow - because they are not out of administration.

The Eagles have avoided bankruptcy and bought midfielder Garvan from Ipswich but the Football League have yet to transfer their ‘share’ and let him play.

Boss George Burley can only use loan signings and frees until this official move is ratified and that is not due until next week.
