Dont think the pitch helped, was never going to be free flowing football on that sludge

Not complaining about it, a win's a win and I'll take any we can get.

I just meant that while it would be nicer to see the team playing good football, at least now if/when we do hoof it we've got someone up there who is actually going to do something with it.

i know :) i'm just saying that i appreciated the tactical awareness that our manager used.......feck i think its been a few years since i said that

So what has happened to the pitch? Doesn't look like that on the other stadiums I've seen in the weekend.

Unfortunately I'm slow as a sloth.

Hume was poor on the right, Hayles passing and protecting of the ball wasn't up to much, fluke goal. Lazcko looks ok, Bori could be the key player, looks good on the ball, doesn't just hack at it, plays it sensibly. I don't understand what system Holloway is trying to play. I don't understand his substitutions ... reminds me of Mickey mouse Adams substitutions. Still not impressed.

I thought the defence were excellent and Mattock looks a totally different player with that little bit of confidence. Clem and Oakley were steady in the middle region, which is great as it has been our week link for so long. I think Howard and Hayles did ok, but I thought they played a similar type of game and the threat of DJ's pace made a difference later on.

Zsolt was ok, but looks like he is settling in. Thought Bori had a good influence when he came on.

Which leads me to Hume. I thought that apart from his free kick he was very poor. I know he was out of position but it is the same. Selfish with the ball, taking shots (poorly) when he had other options. In his defense, that is where he did well, in defense. Too often he tries the showboat effort or pass (Volley and pass to Mattock with the outside of his foot in the second half), rather than the simple, and that is where our play breaks down.

Evening all.
Its so nice to be on the winning side of a last minute goal for a change! Cant remember the last time were!
I was watching this in a bar in Toronto and started going crazy when Hayles scored. Got some funnylooks from the locals!
Come on Leicester!!

agree with your assessment of Hume 100% HO...yet still he is a god to some

He is the second coming of Savage. Runs around like a headless chicken which makes him look like he gives 150% effort, which means some of the fans idolise him. IMO if he could stop and put his foot on the ball and keep it simple he would be in the premiership. But he can't, so we may be as good as it gets for him.

I also think Hume was bad offensively, in defence he is always good and hard-working but wasted a lot of "chances" when he should have done better.

I thought Oakley was fairly obselete TBH, but then it was his cross which led to the goal wasn't it? Kisnorbo was a man mountain, as was McAuley.

colin spoke some proper shite after the game. Very bitter. :icon_razz

maybe his mole is dead? moleslaughter

:icon_lol: as much as i try not to laugh, I cant help it...

He also said that we sounded like we had won the world cup at the end... he is such a poor loser. :038:
