It's nothing to do with that. It's because we need to publish our accounts imminently and this mitigates the dire financial position that the club was/is in.
 
I like that the word sustainable was used in the comments.

There may be some validity to it. They could’ve done this months ago if they wanted to.

Yes they could, but this might have given any potential selling club the impression we had more money to spend.
