Robbie 'I don't want to live in Cardiff cus its a shit hole but it's streets ahead of Leicester' Fowler's got a torn muscle and may be out for up to 10 days. It's a long season and only Stoke so no bother.

Mend a torn muscle in under 10 days? What remarkable powers of recovery your ageing, Cardiff-hating striker must have!

Of course it could also be a psychological trick too. Wouldn't be the first time our striker has made a remarkable recovery on match day and given the defence a harder time than they expected. Canny lad Dave Jones.

You lot are so bloody elitist.

This guy is a newbie and he is just trying to start a debate. Give him some slack.

well said that man!
its a football forum for god sake, and its the point he,s trying to make thats in question not the way in which its typed, if it bothers you all that much then join the english grammar forum or maybe check back on your own posts before commenting on others.:icon_roll

as for what defines a big club??

well to me its a big club has to have a successfull history, a large fan base, be known throughtout europe and have competed and is still competing at the very highest level, too me the only big clubs we have are man utd liverpool arsenal and chelsea, rangers and celtic in scotland, there are teams that have competed at some point with these sides but non have done it consistantly and therefore in my opinion cant warrent being called a big team.

During the football season it's full of Hooray Henry's who's second choice was Leicester Uni.:icon_wink

Yes, but when reading a post is like scraping your eyeballs with a thumb-tack it's hard to know what point is being made. :icon_roll

now you know how we feel when we read some of your stuff:icon_cool

:098:

It may sometimes make little sense or be of any relevance but it is usually grammatically correct, well at least bloody readable! ;)

No, it's not an English grammar forum but it makes it a whole lot easier to read when written correctly. Most of all, your point comes across more clear and you will probably not be ignored. People see about 20 lines with no full stops or paragraphs, they just can't be arsed to read.

How many times did you check that for obvious errors before you posted it :icon_lol:

Great work Hazz, I think it's our guidance & tuition what has helped out here.

I think a 'big' club is a nonsense really.

Newcastle United think they're a big club, but are they really? Didn't they only have about 3500 fans when Ossie was manager? Have they not just risen quickly thanks to money and it being all to do up there? We've won more than them of late....So surely we're the bigger club?

Strange

One thing that is not for debate is Cardiff City being 'bigger' than Foxes. That is totally ridiculous.

Ok my thoughts

Right first off a big club. To me the big clubs are the ones in the Prem. Why i here you ask. Well is that not the place we all strive to be. Do the best players in the world want to play there Yes the money is there and unlike the other divisions in most cases (wigan apart ) there grounds are nearly full most weeks. So to me these are truly the big clubs. Right for the rest of us. Are we a big Club at the prescent time i'd say No but we do have the potential and MM & MA are striving to make us one. some of the players they have bought in prove that i.e Campbell and Clemence recent history say's we are a bottom half club with above avrage crowds for our position we had no money and were never gonna move up. (untill MM moved in for us) So we now have that potential. Now i here some saying we won 2 league cups thats in the past. Forest won two european cups and the league there fans will claim they are a big club. Sorry big clubs dont play in what was the old 3rd division. Having a history of being a big club 20/30yrs ago dose not mean you are now point wimbeldon had yrs in the top flight and an FA cup where are they now MK dons:081: and forest:081::081::081::081:

Hope it's ruffled a few feathers now let battle commence:081:

my thoughts:

there's no quantised scale, it's a grey scale

obviously the following contributes:
average attendance
capacity of stadium
silverware
results
international players
