I've heard from a journalist friend at the Not****ham Evening Post, that Tord IS also coming to City - not as Sven's Assistant, but as a part-time 'Football Advisor' - a role he also played at County. Apparently, there he did a lot of international scouting for Sven (though I don't know how much League 2 County would need that !) and often came in to advise on long-term football strategy and game tactics for some matches. Sven intends to use him in the same role at City, though Fazackerly will be his day-to-day Assistant, Coach and Chief Scout (presumably looking at UK teams and players).

No, I'm not taking it personally ! I'm a journalist, I expect 'flak' and I expect to get picked up whenever I'm wrong (which does happen !); but I CAN be right. I only report what my sources say - and believe me, I give them stick when they're wide of the mark and have led me to pass on incorrect information. I think I've been more right than you've listed, but I'm not going to argue ! One thing I am pretty sure about though, is Tord's (continuing) link with Sven - and City - I had that confirmed this morning from a Mercury colleague, though it's not being reported, because of the fact that no contract (between Tord and City) has yet been signed - he's elsewhere in Europe at present !

Don't be such a mong. Grip has gone everywhere with Sven on his management career to date. The team's success has been as much as Sven's, so if you think Grip has no credibility at least have the honesty to say you don't think Sven has either.

It is my choice to be a mong if i wish!

However, I am wary of the appointment of Sven as I think he may struggle to scout/sign the sort of player that is prepared to sign for city. It is my opinion that a manager of this type will be in need of a decent number of British backroom staff. It would appear by the signing of Fazackerley and the keeping of the current coaching staff that Sven agrees. It is possible he is a mong of course?

If you really were a journalist, I suspect you wouldn't have used four exclamation marks in one paragraph, or put a space between the end of the sentence and the exclamation mark.

On the other hand, I've read the Mercury recently... you're probably over-qualified.
