MM's only fault is being a bad judge of manager.
No it's not. He's a really bad judge of agents as well, but his biggest fault is thinking that he should even be talking to an agent without his manager selecting the player first!

He also proved an inablilty to learn when he took on two absolute non-entity loan players (Ferrari and Al Jazeera) when we didn't even have a manager. He's an agent's dream!

Mandaric clearly interferes because he wants to exercise ownership in its fullest sense and he has made mistakes.

But the bottom line is that the manager has to take responsibility for footballing issues. Just because Mandaric appointed Holloway and Holloway demonstrates that he is completely out of his depth, it doesn't mean to say that the logical move is to keep Holloway because it was Mandaric's fault for appointing him in the first place.

.......and other cock-ups too numerous to mention. Difficult to believe at the time MM arrived, but he has actually managed to make the team and club worse than we already were.

Not sure that he has RS, for the last few years now we have been sliding gradually towards League 1, each time we've escaped by the skin of our teeth, I regret to say that I think this year is the year that we finally slide through the trap door, not through the fault of one man, but because there is something fundamentaly wrong with this club that no matter what we try or who tries it, we are still heading toward the inevitable.

I think a fair amount of blame has to go to MM - because of his pretty inept dabbling in all aspects of the club one word can sum up this season - turmoil. What we needed was stability and we didn't get it I'm afraid.

Yes, fair point, he does have to shoulder some of the responsibility, but I can't help wonder just what is happening with this football club that no matter what combinations we try we just cannot succeed. There is a vein of something running through the club and until it is identified and removed, success will be as elusive as ever.

Or then again, maybe after all these years, we have actually found our natural level.

Super stuff

Why did Martin Allen get on fine at other clubs but couldn't last five minutes here?

Why did Megson take over full of determination and was ready to walk out after a few weeks?

Why did Ian Holloway come in, full of hope and expectation only to quickly become a shadow of the manager he'd proved to be before?

The common denominator is MM. He interferes, he makes football related decisions all the time. He thinks he knows better than anyone else. He is a cancer eating away at any manager trying to get on here. Not one manager has survived and prospered working for him. Even Redknapp quit on him and walked out and has also looked a far better manager since MM left Pompey.

That's why I don't judge IH or his predesessors. He was tempted here on the promise of money to spend and success to achieve and subsequently hasn't been allowed to do it his way. He has had to clear up MM's mess of a summer recruitment and still has to shield the squad from random foreigners turning up at the training ground with heavy walleted Agents.

The stewards are just minature hitlers. I hope they perish.

See that sort of behaviour down the Walkers a lot do you Joe?

The stewards on the stairs I use are always friendly and say hello with a smile. Never seen any problems in our stand (the Kop) the problems always seem to be down the other end.

£185 fine, and no ban for MacFox :038:

(Poor fecker will have to go again next season)
