Worthington lost my support from the second I saw Conrad Logan's name on the team sheet.

How many mistakes does he have to make before getting dropped?

Let's not be too harsh on NW; for me he did what he was asked to do....We're a Championship side and may not still be with RK in charge. He also dropped the crab and put Mattock in....In a short space of time he got players working harder and playing better football. I would still rather Coleman but I would take Wortho over Ince any day of the week (IANGW)....

i dont think worthy is the man to take this club forward. p.s i dont know what else to write at the moment.

If Kelly had stayed and we lost all five of the remaining games we would have still finished 5 points clear of relegation

Kelly had run out of any goodwill. It took quite a long time for some people to realise that he was hopeless - mainly because he seemed to evoke pity, but eventually that time came and MM was forced to act.

I would have thought that Worthington was more competent and obviously more experienced than Kelly - but he doesn't arouse much enthusiasm.

To be honest we seem to have collected a bunch of very poor players who haven't even got the motivation to make an effort. Whoever, manages the club will have a massive challenge to turn things round.

Do I still want Worthington? I don't want any of the ****ers. Just give me somebody who is proud to play for City and who wants to put a bit of effort in.

Totally agree :038:

Ince would be a disaster though in my opinion. He is too far up his own arse, doesn't strike you as exactly being bright (bit like Wise) and i think he could make a mess of things with any funds MM might make available.

Not too sure about Wortho either. He's done the job he came in to do and full credit to him. He just doesn't fill me with confidence for next season.

Coleman would be my choice if we could get him here.

Has he? I presume that you mean that he avoided relegation?

The facts say that we were already safe on the day that Rob Kelly was sacked: we were then clear of Southend's final points total and even if Leeds had not chosen to go into adminstration, they would still have finished one point behind the 47 points that we got under Rob Kelly.

So just what has Nigel Worthington done for Leicester City?

Couldn't agree more. He was awful yesterday.

The whole of the defence was awful yesterday. I lost count of the times that panicked clearances just struck one of our other players and left the ball very much in the danger zone.

Full agreement with you. Would have no hesitation with picking NW over Ince if it came to a choice between the two. Wouldn't mind Coleman, but I'm sure there will be others on the market in the next couple of weeks. The one thing I'm sure of is that we need an appointment in the next 3 weeks so that the incoming manager has enough time to rebuild the team while there are plenty of options, not leave it till late like last year and just pick up the dregs that are left.

Ok fair enough but when he came in he had five matches to go. We all presumed we would need at least four points to be safe. He achieved that. Don't get me wrong, i'm not a big Worthington fan but do you think under Kelly we would have manged to scrape those 6 points that we picked up against Barnsley and Preston?

I just hope they do something quickly

me too the end the rumour threads (oh the irony i started two ;) )

The best thing MM could do is appoint a big name boss and make a substantial move in the transfer market to signal his intentions. That would boost season ticket sales for sure. I dread to think the amount of people who have been considering a season ticket that were put off yesterday.

That is all with the benefit of hindsight. If Leeds had not gone in to admin and knew that a win at Derby might keep them up then yesterday's results could have been very different for us. I, for one, was really happy we got 6 points at Preston and Barnsley and thank NW and DL for that completely.

Not too quick. Let's make sure we get this right.

Mike Newell too - let's not rule him out.

Still would be my number one choice.. if not, I wouldn't be totally against us nabbing Grayson off Blackpool.
