Thank you to Graz and Profondo for clearing up the teddy bear issue. I long ago gave up on Radio Leicester commentaries as I was not convinced of their accuracy or wisdom.

Before the match began there was some criticism of Pearson's selection on the thread. . I am reminded of the time when MON was manager and invited the retired Brian Clough to watch the training.
O'Neill: I have always been angry that you picked Frank Clark rather than me for the European Cup final
Clough: What was the score?
O'Neill: We won 1-0
Clough: Oh. So some bugger picked the right team.

it is clear from the result at Doncaster: "Some bugger picked the right team."
Well done Nigel.

woop woop, bring on the tree bastuards :)

But did we play entertaining football?

Great result btw. Well done lads big big game satdee can't wait.

Has to be the coldest away game I have ever been to.

Can't have been colder than losing 3-2 at Brighton last year - I refuse to believe it.

Massive, massive 3 points for us. Let's take some confidence into the F*rest game.

had a great start and played some good stuff early on then donny got into it more, waghorn took his goal well, hobbs had a great game as did brown in terms of last ditch defending/blocking but his distribution is terrible, talking of distribution can someone tell weale to keep his goal kicks in play - i bet 90% of them went straight out for a throw in (especially in the 2nd half) adams had a great shot and a save matched by sullivan, we were put under a lot of pressure in the 2nd half

motm - hobbs would say weale but for his shoite goal kicking :icon_roll

Scunny last season trumps it...I wasn't that bad but I wore some naff ski hat. :icon_lol:

I presume these photos are all of him flat on the ground appealing for a free kick/penalty?

Diving little turd. I said to my brother beforehand, I am not the biggest fan thanks to his dive at Bramall Lane which was one of the 'reasons' we went down that season. After spending 80 minutes, pushing and pulling defender....never to be told off for persistant fouling. He spent the next ten minutes, diving at any physical contact with a defender within/around the box.

As YF, excellent for the first 25 minutes, once again possibly should have had a three goal lead. King twice, Waggy, Wellens all had saves or opportunities. Then we just sat back this meant numerous times Wellens or King would stroke the ball back to Brown who'd just lose it. Solano looked very good in spells, he possess a super footballing brain but just got caught dwelling a couple of times on the ball. Dyer looked very lively too, clearly his confidence is up.

Second half - just a solid performance, luckily we have a superb keeper when Hobbs or Brown made errors. Hobbs must have won every ball which was thrown in the box. We pretty much sat on our 18 yard box and let them knock it around sideaways. Effective but dangerous with an one goal lead. We did have the odd opportunity in the second half, Solano had a shot blocked, Waggy miscontrolled when about to be put in on goal and Hobbs should have done better with a header. Adams looked bright when he came on, one corker of a shot well saved. Gally couldn't be arsed....I blame the weather. We did look shattered at the final whistle and this makes me wonder whether we can perform at the weekend.

All in all though, a decent night out in super conditions (except from Loughborough to Markfield on M1 where it was a real pea souper).

Just saw the highlights on the BBC. Dyer looked amazing! Do people who went feel that's an accurate representation of how he played throughout the game?
