Leicester will replace manager Ian Holloway with Iain Dowie at the end of the season if they are relegated from the Championship. (Various Papers)

From BBC gossip this morning. Not surprising really. Would just be swapping like for like IMO :(

Infact i think it should read "Leicester will replace manager Ian Holloway with Iain Dowie at the end of the season"

Not my choice of manager but i think he will be gone if we stay up or go down.

Billy Davis is more of my choice for manager at the end of the season if we stay up or go down

More of the same then!

Unless they are offered a handsome bag of cash.

Its says in the sun even if we are relegated rather than if we are relegated. So looks like he may be gone either way.

Lazy, lazy journalism, as ever :icon_roll

If the journos actually put some time into really looking at our club in detail they would have an absolute field day - but instead they seem content to trot out the same old shit week in, week out

Dowie is a waste of space and won't do anything for the club.

Would rather keep Holloway

Dowie got a team promoted to the Premiership - Holloway has never got anyway near achieving that...

Why let the facts get in the way of a good argument though :102:

Its no secret Dowie was my first choice, should IH go,and i stand by that.

I had Neil Warnock first choice before IH came, and i got shot down in flames by the Colin Wanker brigade.

I know Dowie has had a mixed background, but most managers have, so if he comes give him a chance.

No doubt some will disagree :icon_bigg

I think anyone who get appointed deserves a chance. Dowie whilst at palce got the them promoted and to the play offs. Since then its been a bit sketchy but has to be better than what we have doesn't it?

Indeed, he has certainly satisfied all the criteria you've just mentioned.
That was my point Melts, why make changes if there will be no benefit.
Dowie has a far better record than Holloway. Not one of my favorite managers but I'd rather see Dowie in charge than Holloway.
Better record?
Palace - half a decent season and promotion through playoffs. Did the dirty to join Charlton.
Charlton - Complete disaster, sacked after about 10-12 games?
Coventry - Did nothing, sacked within a year?

A few managers have managed to get average teams up through the playoffs on the back of half a decent season. I don't think it makes you a good manager.

He did get them to the play offs again before he left too, but not really who i want either, but i guess we might not have much choice.

Was that when he still had his premiership squad?

Even Micky Adams managed automatic promotion with a premiership squad.
