the players should not need a manager for sunday, they should know how important it is.

Now that Sven's been sacked, maybe he will fancy a new challenge next season :icon_wink

From the interview with MM last week he said that he had Dowie lined up but Cov got in there first. If he is available and MM takes the plunge and gets rid of the clown then I expect the goonie to be our next manager.

I heard that Dowie has already agreed a contract here.

I would say it is very likerly Dowie will be Manager at the start of next season, very likely

Whoever we have in, they should be given the job ASAP so that they have a full pre-season.

Bang on, and I agree with H that if this is all true, then Dowie should be in NOW!!

Holloway was told on saturday he would be leaving at the end of the season.

Is a whisper i have heard.

So he'll really be trying hard this week, then

Where do these rumours come from :icon_roll

I know just saying what i have heard, i think deep down he knows any way.

If it is true, we might as well have taggart in charge for the last game, at least he may be bothered.

Yep - when we go down, they'll have a fair old bit of business to do as the rats leave the sinking ship

We should be so lucky - too many will still be stinking the old hulk out.

hence his numbshull comments :icon_roll he is obviously waiting to be paid off before he goes

Along with him not demanding his players along with himself go out there and face the fans after the final whistle on Saturday,a terrible act of cowardice

Dowie has always been my first choice manager for us. If MM hadn't been a prick in Jan last year, he'd have been in straightaway. As it was, we've had to go through all sorts of shite in the meantime.

People who deride him do so with either personal insults or very selective criticism of some of his results. In essence he did a cracking job at Oldham and Palace. At Charlton, he was on a hiding to nothing following Curbishley and made some mistakes but was also given nowhere near enough time. At Cov, he made a very strong impact early on and internal politics and cash worries together with a change of ownership did for him rather than his record.

I fully expect him to be in post within the next couple of weeks regardless of the league we're in. If it doesn't happen like that, the only rational explanation I can think of is that MM is pulling out of the club.
