We should be so lucky - too many will still be stinking the old hulk out.

Bye bye to Stearman, McAuley, Kisnorbo (when he's recovered) and Mattock - the 'best defence in the league' on their way as a 100% cast-iron certainty

But at least we'll have Jamie Clapham left to help us out

i still cant believe they ran away and hid

If you had been there and witnessed the mood of the fans, I don't think you would have been surprised. It would not have been pleasant for either the players or the fans and would potentially have been dangerous. It was the only sensible decision to have made and I am sure that it would not have been made by Holloway.

If it is true, we might as well have taggart in charge for the last game, at least he may be bothered.

Are you really suggesting that Holloway isn't 'bothered' if he has the stigma of taking a club to the third tier for the first time in their history on his CV?

The guy may be tactically inept and found wanting in many areas but he isn't a total pillock.

Then think again. According to what some of the players said on Saturday night it WAS Holloway who wouldn't let them go back out.

(Of course, they would say that wouldn't they.)

tought shit im afraid they still shouldve come out the club has done nothing but bang the 'we need your support' drum and they get it and that lot just walked off, the players/management have put them/us in this position the least they could do is show some balls for the first time this season

The crowd didn't want a "lap of honour", they just wanted their efforts for 2007/2008 acknowledged.

Feck the players they get paid a lot of money and they along with that turd of a Manager have under performed and they should for once come out and faced the music and then they might have realised just what this Club means to some of us.

90% of the crowd were off home trying to erase the memory of the whole afternoon (me included)

I suspect that it was mainly families (and BMs) left inside the stadium, with the kids just wanting a close up glimpse of their 'heroes' rather than hurl untold vitriol at the useless cnuts - in which case the decision not to come out was utterly spineless

There are no excuses for it,it was the final act of cowardice by spineless little man

Even without a lap of (dis)honour, the least they could have done was applaud the crowd at the end rather than just slinking off. The only one to show any appreciation was Stearman (Although that could simply have been his way of saying cheerio).

From what I've read on here and been told I think Stearman is the only one who truly cares about this Club...and maybe Mattock

That's not surprising - and actually not unreasonable. I don't expect most of the players to care about LCFC specifically. I do expect them to care about football and their own professional pride, and to demonstrate this by not throwing the towel in. Hendrie, Bell and Hume show signs of caring in this sense, but as for the others...

I bet Roy Cropper parked his Morris Minor in the doorway and wouldn't let them out until they apologised.
