Pissed off with the current city players and management? want to get back to the good old days? Then here's the thread for you, over the next twelve months i will set up a new thread devoted to 12 Leicester City Legends, giving you a chance to reminisce about their best (and maybe worse) times.

Leicester's all time top scorer and more appearances in a City shirt than anyone! True legend. Unfortunately as I'm younger, I can't remember that much of him, just the tail-end of his career, but still a great player and great memories of him lifting the Coca Cola Cup for us in 97!

Got his book but still havn't read it.

Still got a poster of Walshie, from 95 I think, on my bedroom wall! :)

Looking back now just depresses me as to how bad we are now though ;)

Sir Stevie Walsh, I salute you!

How we could do with someone like him on the pitch/touchline.

God looking at that Walshie poster on my wall reminds me how far we've fallen.

The posters are all really old, from 97 mosy of them, the Walshie one a bit older. I just can't bring myself to take them down! :( I've got them set out in the 3-5-2 formation; Walshie, Elliott and Kaamark at the back, Savage, Lennon, Zagorakis, Izzet and Guppy in midfield, with Heskey and Ian Marshall up front. The newest Leicester poster on my wall is a squad photo from 98/99 ;)

Arthur Chandler has scored the most goals for us whilst I think Arthur Rowley has the higher goals to games ratio. Its on the site somewhere.
Still doesnt detract from the hero that Walshie was for the club. Cracking character (although im sure some of the other ex players may disagree) real leader. Derby play-off being the height of his lcfc career.

I used to have a full football pitch set up with a lcfc side on one side and a premiership select 11 on the other side, I think the selecct 11 included Cantona. Walshie was at the back in the lcfc side.

Graham Cross has the most appearances for City I think.

I am sure Webbo can confirm this......:102:

495 league matches plus 3 as sub
59 FA Cup
40 League cup
2 cup winners cup

Total 596 starts plus 3 as sub.

Played cricket for Leics too.

One of many former players who have ended up in prison - he ran a post office and nicked some money.

Walshy absolute legend, adored this club and his football meant everything to him, met him on a couple of occasions, once in the players bar at Pride Park after we had beat them 4 - 0 and his words to me were "Thank fcuk we beat them, I can't stand the bastards". Spoken like a true supporter !

I also didnt catch a lot of Sir Steve but I do remember the Fulham cup match when he did a poor back pass which led to a goal, but more than made up for it with a thumping left peg drive into the roof of the net... great memories...

I know this has already been corrected, but here goes:-

7th in the list of overall appearances (449 - against Graham Cross's 599)

7th in the list of League appearances (352 + 17 - Adam Black made 528)

Nowhere in the list if FA Cup appearances (largely as a result of others playing in eras where we manged to get further in that competition)

2nd in the list of League Cup appearances with 39 + 1 sub, as against Graham Cross's 40.

20th in the aggregate scoring list (62 - Chandler got 273), but don't forget that Walshie was a centre-half!!

19th in the League scoring list (53 against Chandler's 259)

Nowhere in the FA Cup scoring list - he only ever scored once in that competition.

12th in the League Cup scoring list (4 against Stringfellow's 8)

TOP of the play-off scorers list (3 goals, same as Norman the Droid and Steve Thompson)

10th in the list of longest serving players - just 4 days off 14 years!!

TOP of the list for sendings-off - he was shown the red card NINE times.

LONGEST disciplinary ban for on-field activity (ELEVEN games for 'doing' David Geddis of Shrewsbury - a dozen City players had been banned for a year during the 2nd World War after an FA investigation into the payment of illegal bonuses and signing-on fees)

Nobody has more claim to the title of Legend !!

The current squad arent fit to lace his boots.

Or his drinks, to coin a phrase...

He was near the end of his career when I started supporting the club I think I dont remember his times that well but was an awesome player in terms of workrate that much I do remember.
