Things i'll always remember him by.

Making the Derby fans cry at Wembley:038: .
His equilizer in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal and then Walking off the pitch with eyes popping after giving Ian Wright some lip.:038:
Lifting the cup at Hillsboro:038:

Apart from the three mentioned above by Brauny, how about:

His first spell up front in 1992-93 with Julian, particularly his first game when he was thrown in as a striker and proved to be quite good.

Scoring the equaliser against Fulham in the 2000 Coca Cola semi after making a massive cock-up to give Fulham the lead.

His on-going battle with Steve Bull.

Walshie was an absolute legend and even more remarkable that he survived the crappy Pleat years to be a major part of the O'Neill era. Aside from St.Gary probably my all-time favourite player.

I saw him in the bar at the Grand Hotel Xmas 1990 whilst on our works party -this was the season some may recall that Tony James saved us in the last game...

Anyhow I was v.pissed and I remembering begging The Great Man that we couldn't go down - he assured me that we wouldn't - bought me another ale that I didn't need and invited me and a couple of mates into the private function room with the rest of the team...
Paul Kitson then told to me to F**k off cos I told him he was a disgrace for being pissed.........

True legend - genuine bloke.........Walshey not Kitson!

anyone else care to give us there best walshie moments?

I can't remember the opposition or season - but it was towards the end of his career and he had been out of the side for ages with a bad recurrent injury. No reserve games - nothing.

There was no hint of a possible comeback.

Then - it was an evening game and we were short of strikers- and a rumour started that Walshy was going to play and sure enough he appeared in the warm up and duly took up his place as an excellent makeshift centre forward.

Interesting comparision with Graham Cross - who was quieter but also an inspirational player through example with the capacity to convert to an emergency forward.

Walshy was still a better front man than any one at the Club now!
Remember when the chant used to be "Walshy for England!"

Mr Leicester imo
:icon_cool

Remember him coming on against Chelsea realising that we wouldn't win the game so elbowed Chris Sutton in the face for his constant moaning and cheating, of course Walshy took an early bath but still came second in the Man of the match poll, genius!!

We should have 'retired' the no.5 shirt when he left, like they do in the NFL. Would have avoided idiots like Alan Rogers being allowed to wear it.

B******s to coaching badges, managerial apprenticeships etc...

Get him back off his golf courses and get him in, in some sort of capacity - I don't care what.......

What you mean they went close but were unlucky?? They fully deserved the booking but at the end of the day it wasn't meant to be???
