Skippy on ice, fairly clueless and not a natural finisher, too old to be called a prospect and really one of the worst signings made in recent seasons due to the fact we really didn't need to sign him when we did...

Bags of effort and ability, but needs 25-30 chances to score....Had Hammond been more adept in front of goal we perhaps wouldn't have found ourselves strugglng this season...

He is but when he plays at a higher level he starts to think too much. :icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_conf :icon_sad:

Not a striker! But he has pace and I think he could have something to offer on the right wing. That kind of pace can be useful, and he showed against Sheffield united he can get behind defences with it. Trouble for him is that Welsh is probably better!

Still offers more than Sylla IMO!:icon_conf

It just shows that pace is not always as important as some people say. Hammond is lighting quick but is also fcuking useless.

I would love to no how Levein rationally weighed up the options and decided to sign him.

If we can get rid for nothing it will be a bonus as he doesnt have a future here in my opinion.

I agree.

It's a problem when places lack pace - but pace without other skills - and in his case alongside woeful finishing - means it counts for nothing.

I don't think Levein was in a rational state by the time he threw the money at the Hammond transfer.

Get rid and give an academy produced kid an opportunity.

He is not even on the bench today - replaced by Brevett. Obviously Rob Kelly is not very impressed by him either. Rob is probably planning a headless chicken sale in May with Hammond and Sylla at the top of the pile.
