Job well done today & respect to Roy Hodgson for picking such an attacking team.

A few old timers on here will remember the night Poland blanked us 0-0 at Wembley to shatter our world cup dreams - 25 shots on target, not one went in. One of the few occasions football has made me cry (I was only 12!)

Fingers crossed for Tuesday - play hard you young stallions, for God, for England......

Well, I'm buggered if I can find it.

Was that the game when Jan Domarski slid one under Peter Shilton and Allan Clarke equalised from the spot?

Townsend certainly looked good last night.
be interesting to see who plays right back on Tuesday, & how it might effect his game.
Last season I though KW was the man to oust GJ at right back, not so sure now.

Like to see Micah Richards come in from the cold.

England will qualify but any hopes for a good World Cup will be dashed when both Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge suffer double broken legs thanks to Foxes legend Marcin Wasilewski.

England looking good after a nervous start. But how it's still 0-0 is beyond me!!

Enjoyable first half. Rooney was the least visible England player until he scored. Townsend was incredible! Sturridge and Welbeck wasteful. Could have looked much worse had Lewandowski put away his great chance at 0-0.

Townsend is playing brilliantly.

It was a good performance - just a shame Welbeck and Sturridge keep getting it stuck in their feet inside the box!

With a half decent striker on the pitch we would be five up

Two complete and utter twonks there at the moment
