I thought I’d still get called a troll for posting something slightly negative.

How dare I say we’d concede 4 or 5 a game in the premier league right now etc etc
You would have done had you been trolling.

You're learning.

I mean, the biggest problem with modern football is everybody tries to play the same, so the team with the most money wins.

If only there was an example of a club being successful that played a different style to everyone else and spending a fraction of the budget of bigger clubs?

This is probably the most detailed thing I've heard about the inner workings of the club for years.

Most interesting bit was that Cody played 60mins in that pre-season game with a broken foot.

Why doesn't this surprise me.

Club is riddled with absolute dullards

Never injured before coming here. Telling.

I really don’t think it is.

Plenty of things to be critical about the club about, but until we see consistent injury problems under Maresca, I’m not going to criticize them.

I’m confident Rodgers methods had a lot to do with our injury issues. Coady just broke his foot playing football.

We have 1 injury at the minute ...

Leeds have 7
Birmingham have 4
Bristol City have 4
Coventry have 3
Norwich have 4
Sunderland have 6

I could go on...

Agree.

However it's frustrating to hear that he broke his foot turning in training and nobody realised. Putting him through a match after doing it is worrying.

Remember that it took some time (more than a week from memory) before the club realised what he'd done.

This is not that uncommon. A few years ago there was a sudden outbreak of previously undetected metatarsal fractures among top flight players after Beckham (I think) was found to have been playing for some weeks with one. As I recall one of our players was among them. Not just footballers either, as two people I know were walking around with nothing but minor discomfort for some time before diagnosis.

Agree it shouldn’t happen, but it hardly acts as evidence of medical neglect

I was knocked off my bike at the start of this year and had my foot xrayed for a suspected break. As the damage was near my toe joint I was basically told that it was evens whther they'd be able to detect a break even if one was there - things might be a little better with a sports specialist who looks at feet all day long but from that experience I can understand things getting missed

Broke my ankle, they thought it was a sprain for several months.

Now I have osteoarthritis.

Good innit?
Oooya ****er. I had something similar when I broke my wrist when I was a kid, had an X-ray and was told it was sprained… by some fluke of luck a consultant or someone saw the X-ray and they called my back to the Royal. Ended up needing the bones reset and spent three months in a cast up to my shoulder.

I owe the use of my right arm and thousands of hours of wanking to that doctor.

Football boots look really flimsy these days.

This is normal to be fair. It's often very, very difficult to diagnose a small break and you need the patient to be extremely specific about exactly what they are feeling. Coady strikes me as the kind of guy that would say nothing was hurting and that all was well.
