To be fair, as long as it has taken, this is a major signing for this football club. Brilliant move and one I'm sure will pay off. Great to add such an established, experienced head into the team in a key area. Fantastic stuff

Wonderful, wonderful, signing. A world class player in his day. Hopefully, we can nurture his fitness and form so that he shows us some serious quality and be the best holding midfielder we've ever seen in a City shirt. I imagine that the rest of the squad will be as excited as kids on Xmas morning about going into train with him this morning.

Just read that he's made 76 Champions League appearances. Wow.
He's also won titles in Spain and Italy (five times) as well as winning the Champions League.
