England cannot compete with proper footballing nations but we have to work to our strengths. We were never going to play anyone off the park but we could defend and frustrate the opposition. The England defence was generally superb throughout the tournament and the players seemed to be working as a team more than in previous events.

As we were never going to win in open play, we'd have to win on penalties and to win on penalties we need men to score them.

He didn't get it because he couldn't commit to the whole season (ends end of October/start of November), as he goes back to college in September, but they've invited him back to audition next year in February so he might get to a holiday park next Summer
