Are you stayiing in Paris Homer or at eurodisney? If you are in Paris, factor in at least an hour for your journey to and from Eurodisney.

I only went for the day and it was mid December but still it was good. Hang around for the firework display at night if its on at the moment (its seasonal I think) - really impressive!!

Anyone been ?

Taking 'clan homer' there next week - wondered what it was like

the place is full of ****ing disney stuff, disney this and disney that, and full of tossers wearing stupid mouse ears or wizards hats....... and to rub salt into the wounds they all talk in french

Well in that case I'm not going

I never imagined it would be like that. You would think they would tell you when you booked........

We've been 3 times. Next week could be OK - I think French, Belgian and half the Dutch schools will be back, so it shouldn't be too busy. If it is busy, it's worth coughing up the extra for priority passes although ISTR you saying that your kids are young and it's mainly the bigger rides that have the longest queues. Our kids (eldest 7 when we last went) loved it - especially pestering the hapless gimps in suits who sign 'autographs'.

The food is ****ing shocking, it's true, but we've taken in our own sandwiches and drinks before without any trouble. The hundreds of identical shops selling overpriced tat are annoying, too. And the film studio park next door is a bit wank, really.

Yes, total shite - dont bother!

I was planning to give it a miss anyway to be honest - it looks dull as dishwater

I enjoyed the car chase bit and the Aerosmith ride and my teenagers liked designing their own roller coaster in the simulator.

We've been 3 times and never had any problem taking our own food and drinks in which is good as it seemed to be limited to disgusting burgers / chips or baguettes.

Beware the queue for the dumbo ride which looks small but disappears into a building and re-emerges about 2 hours later -well it did about 6 years ago when my kids were smaller and still into small rides.

We stayed in one of the hotels (a non Disney one) outside the park last year (Aug bank holiday) and there were fights (literally) for the curteousy buses after the fireworks. It was one of the worst experiences of my life as small kids were being trampled on and I have to say the main culprits were British.
It was better when we'd stayed in a Disney one and could walk back.

It is worth looking as the map beforehand to see if there is a ride you really want to do and head for there first before the queues form. It depends on the ages of your tribe.

ok then mine were slightly older when we first went. I could sing the "It's a Small World" song in french by the time we left as they insisted in going round and round on it and there was no queue. Mind you it was a freezing cold, wet day in February and at least it was dry inside there. The queues for the smaller rides generally weren't bad which is why dumbo sticks in the memory.

Anyone ever heard of PortAventura near Barcelona? the current mrs mk is about to book and I'd appreciate any comments.
Cheers in advance.

i wouldntve minded going there when staying near there but OH wanted to go to nou camp instead..it looked good from what i can remember!! a bit like alton towers in the sun :102::)
