Why are we even in this competition if we voted to leave UEFA?

Good bloody point. They were happy to take David Gill, one of few Gills they're accepting despite our new found fish riches.

I didn't watch as I'd no interest... and my wife wanted to watch a repeat of 'Call The Midwife'

I've never enjoyed watching England for some reason. I like to watch games were I've little or no emotional input or bias (I save that for Leicester) games where I can just watch more-or-less objectively.

There is a lot I don't like about watching England play these days. When the back four just pass between themselves for 10 mins is really grating but it works somehow. Not good to watch but it is the plan.

25 years ago when we beat Holland 4-1 I thought that we couldn't play much better. Last night we won 4-0 and I thought we could still improve. I have no idea how things will work out against someone like Italy but we will soon see.

A few years ago England had the best players in the world on paper. They couldn't play together. This lot can a bit.

I enjoyed it. First England game in a while I have genuinely been happy to have watched. I think Shaw has been superb all tournament as have Stones and Maguire.

Aye same here. First half was looking like it was going to end up like a typical international game, second half was enjoyable. Southgate rightly praised for rotating once the job was done, in previous years Kane would have stayed on for the hattrick no matter how fecked he was.

As much as I keep trying to care about England, the commentators just put me straight off again. It must be possible to commentate on a match without metaphorically spoiling ones pants every time an England player touches the ball. After Kane had a shot that led to the corner for the 4th (I think), the cockwomble Jenas declared that it would have been the goal of the tournament. Just **** off with your hyperbolic shit.

If you're referring to the volley, it would have been the goal of the tournament, or at least close to it. It was an incredible effort brilliantly saved.

Correct. It was a superb effort....

That said the Czech goal against the Scots is clear and away the goal of the tournament.
