He must cover more ground than anyone else in the team bar Ricardo, both must be due a rest soon althiugh I imagine Claude won't be playing either in the cup game.
He is a professional footballer. Many others in different teams will cover as much if not more ground than him and will have played the same amount of minutes. This tiredness excuse is really non-sensical. Should we leave him out of England squads for World Cups and Euros then in case the poor little mite has to play three games in 9 days?

Players playing the amount of football Chilwell has, over the season as well as the festive period, will also be tired. Professional footballers still get tired. Fatigue will build over the course of the season too. Their training accounts for it but can’t eradicate it.

Playing in summer tournaments will make him more tired. It does all players. It doesn’t mean they shouldn’t go but it ought to be recognised as a consequence. It doesn’t make him a “poor little mite”. It makes him human. A career in football comes with many perks. Including wealth and excellent physical conditioning. What isn’t included is a magical never-get-tired pill.

I'm not suggesting they don't feel fatigue, using that as an excuse for being unable to pass a ball 4 yards is nonsense. My point about internationals was more than if he can't manage 3 games in a row in a short space of time after 2 thirds of a season, how would he manage 3 games in a row at a WC or Euro after a full season?
