Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Gareth McAuley made his Premiership debut yesterday for West Brom at the age of 31.

Anyone else see The Yaks appearance for Blackburn on MOTD against Newcastle Utd. From the brief part you saw of his game he was everything Alan Young said he was. But you never saw him have a chance at goal, when his game usually comes to life.
Blackburn's defence looks shit though and I can see them in trouble this season unless they score a lot of goals at the other end.

I actually wrote about Yakubu being shite yesterday in this thread - he really was, but as you say, Blackburn were hopeless. Yakubu is dependant on other players, as are most strikers, especially the more physical ones.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Yann made his debut for Charlton on 80 minutes. Played a defensive splitting ball in the build-up to the third.

I went down to watch the match on Saturday, seeing as it was only a fiver. Yann looked pretty good when he came on - good work for the third goal, I think he could flourish in that league. Charlton looked good as well, I'd be surprised if they're not there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

Waghorn scores for Hull, is that his first for them?
