Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

ex player Steve Humphries' teenage son Joe dies going for a jog.
Only 14 too. Another sudden unexplained death.

Just because the Mockery thinks he's an ex-player doesn't make it so. He was certainly on City's books but Mark Wallington never gave him a look in.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Watched Heskey and Del Piero both score wonder goals on their debut today. Heskey's goal was really top draw. Great evening's entertainment.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Ashley Chambers scores for York

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Jordan Stewart played well for Notts County (apparently)

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

He didn't stand out as being any better than any of the other Notts county players. Streets ahead of any of the Carlisle players though.

Strange one, that. I always thought Jordan Stewart had the makings of a good player. I didn't see him dropping beneath the Championship. Ah well.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Really? I always thought he was dogshite.

Each to their own. My mate always thought he was found wanting when it came to halfway skilled wingers, I guess he looked at least a little bit better he was on the left. I wouldn't have predicted his career as is....I'd have thought fair to middling Championship teams after us, at very least, but by my reckoning he's played at least 3 seasons in the third tier.....I await to be corrected

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Tbf he did look like he had potential when he first broke through, but towards the end of his time here I always thought he looked extremely poor and out of his depth at Championship level.

Also, on a Championship forum a while back we did our worst xis of the past 15 years and both Watford and SheffUtd fans included him as their worst left back of recent times.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

To be fair to Stewart he was unfortunate to be here at a particularly low point for the club in the way it was run and morale. It's probably no excuse but it can't be easy being a young up and coming player in a set up where there is no stability, low morale etc. The same could be said of Wesolowski although of course injury played a big part with him.

I did not realise it was that popular a sport over there. Over 35000 watched the game.

Nicky Adams brace including an injury time winner in Crawley's 3-2 win over Bury. Tom Hopper got one for Bury.

Craig Levein looks like he's on his way out of the Scotland job.
