Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Paulo Sousa has left his managers role at Videoton in Hungary.

Now with New York Red Bulls in the MLS.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Where he'll manage Thierry Henry and Tim Cahill

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

he'll always have LCFC on his CV

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

"A traditionalist, who relies on the so-called "eye test," would be a lot more hesitant, precisely because he lacks the "tools" we so often associate with top players".

traditionalist or miserable scottish bastard?

Still can't believe all that.

All he bloody did was score goals.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Yakubu has always scored goals and always will and whilst he didn't hare around the pitch all game, every game whilst in England, I remember the physical side of his game actually being one of his most impressive attributes. The man can hold of a defender for long enough to pick his spot, have a bite of his Snickers, light a ciggy and then pop it past the 'keeper. I'm gutted he didn't stay for longer, but wages such as his in the champ would have been slightly excessive.

Plus old Nige probably would have inherited him from Sven and loaned him to Leeds or something.

It's my opinion that if Yak had signed for us at the end of that season, Nigel Pearson wouldn't be Leicester manager.

Because he would be firing the superbluefoxymen to the premier league while simultaneously cementing Sven's place in the LCFC hall of fame. It could have been so much fun.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Apparently Sven is managing a Thai team

From the Telegraph:

Eriksson, 64, flew in from Thailand, where he is currently working

From Wiki:
He is currently living in Bangkok, being employed by Empire Sports and working with the Thai Premier League outfit BEC Tero Sasana.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Gary Rowett named L2 Manager of the Month.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Bloody nora, still in better shape that John Barnes was at Charlton though.

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Looks like a Sunday League center back now. They used to call him Michael Johnson Future England Captain down at the Etihad, too.
