Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

I just remember that they scored their goals very late on, so if he came on with 6 minutes left it would have been 0-0 at that time. I think.

I should point out that I was at this game, but can't remember Kevin Ellison at all. I was just going on the timings when I made my original comment. I did subsequently google it to find the line-up that I posted though :icon_wink

Good stuff. He's a real ugly bloke and was mouthing off at the ref all game so I thought they must have got it wrong when I couldn't remember him myself.

Must have been bad if he only ever played 6minutes!

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Dean Sturridge. I thought he was a decent player. Maybe the only one that Taylor signed?

Sturridge was another player we took a punt on knowing he would probably be constantly injured.

Better than one in four strike rate, I thought he was alright. Obviously management felt differently because he was binned off in less than a year.

Yeah was a big fan of sturridge. Didn't he get a guy truck against fiorentina in pre season only to be binned off not long after?

Always thought Rowett was a good signing too but probs the only other decent one I can remember.

If Rowett was a Taylor signing then yes he was a good player. A defender who could use the ball well.

Well seeing as BM hasn't corrected me on that I believe so.

Sadly another player that injuries got the better of him but doing an excellent job at Burton atm.

Feck me, I bet Man United were bricking it when they saw our line-up that day:
Leicester: Royce, Rowett, Elliott, Gilchrist, Impey, Eadie, Lewis, Jones, Delaney, Akinbiyi, Sturridge. Subs: Flowers, Guppy, Ellison, Benjamin, Oakes.

Jesus wept

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

It's a little recalled fact that when Taylor joined he had a list of targets that weren't bad at all. Mostly members of his England U21 side, Paul Robinson and so on. Unfortunately, his mission to recruit a handful of these players completely failed and his Plan B in the transfer market was extraordinarily awful.

If I remember correctly Carl Cort was on that list!

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for)

Has anybody mentioned the goals from both Michael Morrison and Jan Kermorgant today?
