Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is reported to be keen on Leeds striker Alan Sheehan when the transfer window opens.

Sheehan is currently on loan with Leeds' League One rivals Oldham but is impressing at Boundary Park and a number of clubs are now said to be showing an interest.

Forest are one such club and Davies is reported to be lining up a swoop for the former Republic of Ireland international.

There have been suggestions that Davies could try and take the player on loan with a view to concluding a permanent deal in January.

Considering the amount of L2 clubs, he's had throw money at him. I don't think many managers disagree.

Considering the amount of L2 clubs, he's had throw money at him. I don't think many managers disagree.

Always remember his great passing ability. He could play a ball to feet from 70 yards.
