I remember Richard Smith scoring the winner with a header in the FA cup at home to Palace at Filbert Street. It was one of the only two times I stood in the Filbert Street kop.

For those of you who wonder why a single FA Cup goal was so important, was it 5 or 6 3rd round exits in a row we had suffered?

Was so excited about seeing that goal on Match of the Day, seeing as we were hardly on telly that much in those days the FA Cup 3rd round day was one of the few times that we had a chance of being shown. I think the clip lasted about 5 seconds!

Wasn't it with his right foot? I'd hate to think one of my favourite moments as a City fan is remembered wrongly.

Yep, although I started doubting my own memory when a couple of people suggested it was a header.

Nowhere near; Benjamin has played for 27 different clubs. I think Jarrett might have played for more League clubs though.

The times reports that Tom Cleverley is going to join Bolton or Wigan on loan today, with Newcastle an outside bet. Apparently Fergie was planning to keep him at Man U this season but has changed his mind
